• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

What do/did you do for a living?

I'm employed at a neutron factory, where we make lots and lots of neutrons as a means to make electrons flow. Some of you ex-Navy types may have some kind of "reaction" experience with this. Denny If you didn't get it above, I've been employed for nearly 33 years at a nuclear generating...

Are You Ready for .... BLACK FRIDAY!???

Don't have to wait for cyber Monday Some of the online sales go live Wednesday night, more on Thursday night. Most of my shopping is and has been online for several years. I do venture out close to Christmas to check out the decorations and get stocking stuffers. Looking like I may venture out...

The Most Expensive Spyder Upgrade EVER!

Since I'm only 10 miles from Hershey, had to think about why I missed it this year since I wanted to go and never have yet. I was in a real busy time at work and working extended hours. I also remember we had torrential rains just about that time, and I had major damage to my stone driveway...

The Most Expensive Spyder Upgrade EVER!

Looks like you have the patio/deck option. Looks good in the dealer info, just wanted to know if it is practical or a gimmick. Thanks, and apologize to OP for the hijack.

The Most Expensive Spyder Upgrade EVER!

Very nice and Congrats! Wife and I were looking at toy haulers online last night, as we are only a couple years from retirement and are going to relocate and downsize so we can travel. Buying the RT this year changes the plan such that we are considering a second spyder. Now that we have one...

You are never too old for your first Spyder ride!

Was beautiful Indian Summer weather here in PA on Sunday (65 degrees F). Was visiting my Mother and showing her which buttons to push on the newfangled flat screen control to watch TV (again!). Rode the RT to her house, and told her it was time for the motorcycle ride I've been promising. She...

    Tips and suggestions

Read this first! http://www.spyderlovers.com/forums/showthread.php?41346-quot-Do-s-and-Do-Nots-quot-for-new-Spyder-owners And be prepared to spend a lot of time reading here. The owners manual and this web site have a wealth of information (and GREAT people!), which was extremely helpful to me...

This kind of stuff wouldn't happen on a Spyder

Some of these riders should learn the proper way to pick up a fallen bike as well. The ramp videos were especially painful to watch. The guy in the dresser trying to do a burnout multiple times should have realized he was burning through his clutch!! Darwinism, motorcycle style.....

    Indicator switch driving me crazy

That exact scenario happed to me yesterday on the highway, and I was sure that the turn signal was cancelled only to find the left signal blinking. It happened more than once and the last time I was watching the signal very carefully. I did have gloves on, I always ride with gloves. Guess I'll...

Apple OS does not support "Flash" graphics, so some web pages do not display all elements on the page. The only good thing about this is that when using the Apple browser we do not get most pop ups or imbedded commercials. Wife has my Ipad or I would check, although I see them just fine on my...

Ever carried a whole pizza home on the Spyder?

It's not delivery, it's DiGiorno! Actually did a lot of traveling in my business career, and have always made a point of stopping at all the Mom & Pop pizza shops to sample their wares. One time when working in Western Pa., was driving over to see the horseshoe curve (any railfans?). I stopped...
