• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

IPOD or MP3 player for RT LTD

The iPod to get is a Classic with a fair size disk space in it. You must get an iPod with the wide connector cable and not the newer "Lightning" connector. Currently you can buy a Classic on Ebay with 160 Gb of space for about $200. If you don't need that much space you can get a Nano for...

    ATGATT stories

I wouldn't even think of traveling by motorcycle without all the gear. Even to the corner store. That means full boots and gloves no matter the temperature. I have ridden for over 50 years and haven't died of heat stroke yet! But I am rather lax about it all while I am using my Spyder. I'm...

Going to Canada, Read this first

And ... leave the "heat" at home. Any firearm including long arms just are not worth the grief you will get at the border. Hand guns are not welcome at all. I can't even imagine the paperwork necessary to get a hand gun into Canada unless you are doing professional security work or a member...

    fog lights?

But just an observation ... the fog lights on my 2014RT are pointed very low. It is accentuated by use of an LED bulb. BUT they light the road surface like they should. I had wanted increased visibility of my front end (years ago I T-Boned a lady who turned directly into my path). But I...

    Type I & Type 2 Dibetics:

I find it unfortunate that they named Diabetes a "type 1 and a type 2". They are very different disease states. Their cause is as different as "night' is to "day". The symptoms may be similar however their "remedy" and all of these prospective cures (including the Edmonton Protocol") work...

    Battery Help

What you are looking for is an AGM battery. I use the Odyssey Brand and highly recommend it. It can survive 6 month long winters with temperatures reaching -30 without being plugged in ... Actually the colder it is the better. Honest. :) I would use the PC680 as it fits nearly everywhere...

    BATTERY LIFE

i carry one of those small (the size of a small paperback) Lithium battery packs which are supposed to be able to start your car battery if stuck in a jam. It is too weak to start my truck (which has TWO on board batteries to start the diesel engine) but just enough to start my bike. I think...

    Folding antenna

When you have the panel off to get at where to plug in the antenna (and unplug the OEM mast) there is plenty of room to "stick it" on the underside of the panel. I say "stick it" because the backside of the strip is adhesive tape to mount it just about anywhere.

    Folding antenna

I don't believe AM reception is dependent on the antenna but on a short carbon bar attached to the rear of the radio itself. So AM reception is as good or poor as it was with the OEM antenna ... no difference.

both hips replaced want a spyder

I have had both knees replaced this past year. I find getting on my 2014 RTL about the same as mounting my 2008 BMW K1200GT. On both, my strength in my hip just isn't enough to get my foot high enough to clear the seat. I guess the issue is I can't fold my leg (knee) up far enough. So I...
