• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Adding BRP Bluetooth Dongle - Questions Answered.

It would be real nice if someone who orders it could let us know what are the pin connections between the radio side of the harness and the Sena side. Since no firmware upgrade is required, it means that the audio signal is already available somewhere on spare connector pins. ...Ben...

    GPS Question

I would personally not trust a suction cup on a motorcycle, as if for whatever reason it comes loose, you might as well kiss it goodbye. If you go with the suction cup, I would recommend you also attach it somewhere with a small rope or fishing line, to prevent it from falling if the "cup" ever...

    Best Bluetooth for...

There seem to be a few options out there: Interphone F5 has a wired mike that is linked to one of the speakers instead of the external control unit. The snowmobile version of the Sena SMH10 has a boom that you install inside the helmet. The upcoming Sena SMH10R also has a boom that you install...

    Google Maps to Garmin 660

I have a Zumo 350, and I did not have much success exporting from the Harley planner to my Zumo. I had funny ghost waypoints and routes. I use Garmin's BaseCamp, but the Zumo uses a different routing algorithm, so the same start and end points can result in different routes :banghead:. You have...

Nolan N-Com B4 Bluetooth Battery Size

The n-com is extremely well integrated, and I would definitely like to buy it. The problem is that my riding buddy has a Shark Evo-Line helmet, so helmet-specific intercoms are not an option. I would like to avoid the mike boom going under the neck roll, so I find the Sena SMH10R anf Interphone...

Nolan N-Com B4 Bluetooth Battery Size

Anyone can tell me how big the B4's battery is ? I have a Nolan N104 helmet. I am looking at the new Sena SMH10R bluetooth intercom and I wonder if the battery would fit inside the helmet in the location where the n-com B4 battery is supposed to go. Apparently, the Sena SMH10R battery is 5.6...

    Another Cal Sci Windshield review

I am glad that you responded and clarified the fit VS curbature topic. In a previous post, I actually responded to a question from a fellow member: It appears that you went through quite a lot of trouble to design the shield, and I have testified a few times that it actually works. Hats off...

    Another Cal Sci Windshield review

I also have mixed feelings about the finishing quality of the product. When it happens once, you can blame it on an overworked employee who had one of those days. In this case, however, sloppy finishing reports tend to pop up here and there. Last fall I wrote a review my experience with the...

    Spyder audio system question

I have the RT with AC, which comes with the basic radio (AM/FM/Weather/Aux), front speakers only and the iPod cable. My iPod (nano gen 5) is well controlled from the radio. The speakers are OK, but with my modular helmet (Nolan N104), any sound coming from the speakers gets muffled into...

Any New Information about the Valcourt Explosion/Fire

Information is hard to find, as newspapers are focusing on an other unfortunate accident that occured in the same region. There was an other, bigger explosion in a company in Sherbrooke, (completely unrelated) that killed 2 workers, along with a third one who did not survive the injuries...

    My experience with CalSci Windshield

Every rider has a different body shape, many tend to ride on different road types and everone's tolerance level towards any given annoyannce is also different. I am tall enough that I bought the BRP comfort seat to get a good riding position on the RT. The seat pushes me back and up, so it is...

    Temperature Tolerance

Yep. The entire house was vibrating. For winter riding, there is a new law in Quebec (from a few years ago) that makes winter tires mandatory. That keeps all 2 and 3 wheelers off the roads during winter months. ...Ben...

Battery Maintainers in (very) cold temperatures

    My experience with CalSci Windshield

The shield does the job, I just thought I would shed some light on some aspects that were not discussed before. There's nothing like making an informed decision when you are buying, and I hope that it will avoid the vendor from having to deal with unsatisfied customers who had very high...

    My experience with CalSci Windshield

Although I am a bit disappointed with the fit, I do not believe it is an issue for my personal usage so I did not talk to the manufacturer. I have young kids and I do not want to sacrifice weekend family time for Spyder rides. All thing considered, I am happy with my 7,000Km season. At this...

    My experience with CalSci Windshield

Mmmm... I guess I can't hide that English is not my first language. I should have written sanded instead of polished. The top and side edges are actually sanded to a very smooth, flat surface. As others have mentioned, the edges are white compared to the stock shield, where they are dark. I...

Battery Maintainers in (very) cold temperatures

I will store my RT in a non-heated garage for the winter. I am planning on leaving the battery on a battery maintainer during storage. I have seen some units from unknown manufacturers that advertize that their product will work in extreme cold temperature. As I want to stick with brand names...
