• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Mounting a Zumo up high

As you saw in my post, I bought the 350LM. I have not used the 660/665 so I can't really compare. The fact that the 350 does not link to a phone seemed like a step back at first, but while looking for an intercom I realized that the intercom itself will pair simultaneously to both the GPS and...

    GPS White out

I have a Zumo 350 mounted on top of the dash and with a sand-colored jacket and under certain sun conditions, it is sometimes very hard to read, even with brightness at its max setting. ...Ben...

    GPS & DPS Error ?

Failed My ground test failed... The positive thing is that I did not have to call the fire department. Yet. See: http://www.spyderlovers.com/forums/showthread.php?43081-Failed-enabling-both-Analog-amp-Digital-Gauges&p=499475#post499475 ...Ben...

Failed enabling both Analog & Digital Gauges

Since both fuel and temp gauges are grounded via the instrument cluster, I had a theory that the cluster would sense the ground return current to determine if any of the analog gauges were connected. I disconnected the ground wires from both gauges and jumpered the instrument grounds back to...

    GPS & DPS Error ?

It happenned on the highway with the cruise control ON, so it could not be the brake pedal. It did happen in a high speed highway curve and caused the warning and limp mode, so your second theory fits the conditions. ...Ben...

    GPS & DPS Error ?

After looking at the electrical schematics, I am wondering if the digital gauges will appear and have both analog and digital active at the same time if we disconnect the analog gauge ground from the cluster and route it directly to the battery... The ground connection to the cluster seems...

    GPS & DPS Error ?

On my side, I wanted the GPS to be turned off with the key to avoid potential Spyder battery drain while the Garmin power module tries to keep the Zumo battery charged. I also found convenient for the GPS to turn off by itself when I get into the garage and turn off the Spyder. If I want to use...

    GPS & DPS Error ?

Hi, Everyone: I just installed a Garmin Zumo 350 on my 2011 RT, and during my first long ride (150 miles) after the install, I had the DPS error for the first time ever, about 110 miles into the ride. I have 2,600 miles on the odometer. When it happenned, I stopped for about 5 minutes with the...

    GPS Power Source Question

I finished yesterday the GPS install and I am very satisfied with the quality of the final product. (Pictures don't quite do justice) I added some recommendations/comments/install pictures in the original thread that started it all...

    Mounting a Zumo up high

Another successful mount Do not mean to highjack the thread, but added material here to make it easier for other forum users to find information in one location. I just installed a Zumo 350 on a Spyder RT with A/C, heavily "inspired" from other user's experience and recommendations. Here are...

    GPS Power Source Question

I saw you mounted your Gps in the center of the console top, where the plastic has a slight curve at the apex. I also noticed you used a narrow RAM mount, without nuts on each side. Isn't it a bit wobbly form side to side on harsh roads, or when you are using the touch screen ? ...Ben... PS...

    GPS Power Source Question

Hi, Guys: I just bought the new Zumo 350 and I am planning to mount it on top of the dashboard. I am looking for a good way to power it: Tapping from a source that will turn off with the ignition key to prevent Spyder battery drain and allow auto-shutoff of the Zumo itself. I saw that many...

Las Vegas or South East Idaho dealers

Just taking 5 minutes to thank those who replied... At the end, no dealers in Utah had the jacket I wanted (I called all those that were reasonibly close to my route back to Vegas). Ride Now in Vegas told me they had one, but when I showed up it was a Caliber instead of a mesh. Oh well. I...

Las Vegas or South East Idaho dealers

I was hoping for an actual BRP dealer, however, since I know the CanAm mesh jacket fits me well. I just missed the opportunity to buy it while it was available. I am not much of a CanAm fan, but I have not tried a summer jacket that for me had a better fit than the CanAm mesh. I will still go...

Las Vegas or South East Idaho dealers

I recently posted a thread looking for a dealer in Salt Lake city, hoping to find a CanAm summer mesh jacket. No luck so far. We are on our way to YellowStone NP, then back to take our flight in Vegas. In my area, all dealers are out of stock and cannot reorder. Anyone knows a dealer with a...

I just went and they had a good selection.... of winter snowmobile jackets. :banghead: Just a few mid-season jackets. Nop mesh at all... I guess it will have to wait until further in the trip. I am heading back to Vegas to take the plane back home. Maybe I will get lucky there ;) ...Ben...

BRP Dealer in Salt Lake City

I will drop by. I have tried most of the big brand names and I am having a problem finding a good fit with the sleeves long enough, and the BRP fits like a glove. Unfortunately, I did not buy it right away, thinking I might find something else. When I came back, it was gone and could not be...
