• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Cptnrydr - Road Trip 2009 - part 5

Yellowstone is one of my favorite places to visit. We (RLS and I) just returned from a trip out west. Our original plan was to ride the Beartooth Pass. But when we were told that it was under construction we changed our minds. Have you had the opportunity to ride this pass and do you know if...

Dudley and Jennifer's 10,000 Mile Journey Blog

Bob (RLS) and I had a great time meeting Dudley, Jen, Mike (BRP Junkie), and Dan (Firefly). As always it was great seeing our friends Deb (dtang), Brian bjt), Scotty, and Nancy (Nancy's Toy) once again. Sorry we couldn't stay longer, but I just ran out of gas today. Bob and I just want to say...

    GAS TANK CAPACITY

:agree: I agree with Scotty. Stopping for gas every 120 miles is the prudent thing to do. On our recent 5,000 mile trip out west we carried two 30 fluid oz MSR fuel bottles (backpacker style). We carried them EMPTY, but would have filled them if there was a possibility of not finding gas...

Spyder & Accessory Evaluation on 5,000 Mile Trip

Ooops, I forgot to mention... Ooops, I forgot to mention that in 5,000 miles the Spyder's oil consumption was only 1/2 quart. That's pretty darn good if you ask me. Also, we used the Scala Rider MultiSet 02 bike to bike communication system. What a GREAT communication device! It had...

Spyder & Accessory Evaluation on 5,000 Mile Trip

RLS and I just returned from our month long motorcycle trip out west(aprox. 5,000 miles). So I'd like comment on the following: Spyder components (temperature gauge, evaporator cannister vent line, fuel line quick disconnect); Evo III Slide Windshield; Motorcycle Cruise Control (Australia)...

Pictures of T-Bags pet carrier w/platform

A number of you have asked about pet carriers. The platform was made out of PVC pipe and it's covered with thin gauge aluminum diamond-plate. The platform allows the seat to raise for refueling without the T-Bags carrier needing to be untied. Typically the carrier would be tied to the...

    Pet Travel Spyder Style

We are currently using a "T-Bags" carrier for our 11 pound pooch. Our particular carrier will hold a pet up to 15 pounds. The bag is made of a canvas-like material...very sturdy with an internal framework. Each side unzips and the sides can fold under to reveal a screen mesh for ventilation...

    Spyder Throttle control

Motor Cycle Cruise Control Everyone's given good advice. Whether it's an actual cruise control, a cramp buster, throttle lock, or the throttle meister...the decision is a personal one. I like Laughing Heart have the actual cruise control from Motor Cycle Cruise Controls in Australia. Yes it...

KewlMetal 9" handlebars & Motorcycle cruise control

We talked with both Tony (from MC Cruise Control) and Evan (from NoMagicNeon) today. The cruise control picks up the ground through the stop light bulbs. The LED lights don't allow the ground to be picked up. When installing the Triple Play, the stock stop light bulbs are not replaced. The...

KewlMetal 9" handlebars & Motorcycle cruise control

Response to Gayle & Deb Gayle, Look in your installation manual section 6 & 7 for the cruise control device. On page two - top paragraph says: "Note: if bike is fitted with a flasher device or LED brakelight globe on the brake light system, this may cause interference with the cruise control...

KewlMetal 9" handlebars & Motorcycle cruise control

I haven't posted in a long time, due to a major case of tendonitis in my right arm. The tendonitis was directly due to the Spyder's ergonomics not being conducive to my small stature (5'2"). But with the help of Mad Matt at KewlMetal that problem's been resolved. We installed a set of 9" bars...
