• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Your Spyder can hop an Axe at 65 MPH

The day after, I'm thinking the floorboard really saved me. That axe spun around and smacked the floorboard pretty good. Without the board the business side of that tool would have been able to get to my right leg. I'm going to be riding my Spyder a lot more now. I just keep thinking of how I...

Your Spyder can hop an Axe at 65 MPH

The camera makes things seem smaller. In real life, that was a big axe I couldn't miss. I truly thought I was going to not make it over without wrecking.

Your Spyder can hop an Axe at 65 MPH

I got a pretty good scare on the way home from work today. Driving on the expressway an Axe was laying in the middle of the road. It came up pretty quick and there was no way to avoid it. I managed to get it to go between my front wheels, but the back tire went right over it. When I drove over...

Yes, I put RT handlebars on my SM5 RS

I'm not sure about compatibility of the bars, but they do make these to raise what you already have for that year. http://www.ebay.com/itm/HELIBARS-HANDLEBAR-RISERS-Fits-Can-Am-Spyder-RS-Spyder-RS-S-Spyder-RT-Spyder-RT-/231841216347?hash=item35fad0375b:g:w2EAAOSwKtVWup5y&vxp=mtr

    Would You Go Back?

The wife won't ride two wheels I have a Spyder for rides with the wife. My 2 Wheeler's are for riding alone. I don't think the Spyder is a replacement for a motorcycle, it's something different. Fun in its own way.

SM5 Manual Black Billet Aluminum shifter extension kit

I had to finally give up on the Rivco Heal Toe Shifter for my RS SM5 manual. Using Rivco floorboards to change my seating position means the stock shifter is too low to get my foot under. With the Rivco shifter, I experienced problems shifting into 2nd and tried everything I could to get it...

Yes, I put RT handlebars on my SM5 RS

I took it out for a nice ride with the new bars today. The steering is better for sure with the RT bars. Really happy with the look, fit and function. Here are some better pics

Yes, I put RT handlebars on my SM5 RS

Im not sure how much help this is, I do know they sell risers for your bike, they didn't fit mine. I know that on a 2015 RS, the bars are all the same. I heard that back to 2013 that is the case. I followed the post in the how to forum. All I needed were the bars and the back covers.

    It happens this fast

Seems to me the scooter rider was strung out on something. The way he was Revving that engine and looking around was making me sick.

Yes, I put RT handlebars on my SM5 RS

The floorboards make a huge improvement, I would buy them again in a second. The setup I have now feels entirely relaxing. I'm completely upright with my legs positioned straight down. I'm also really used to the heal toe shifter now. Although getting it into second is a pain till you get it.

Yes, I put RT handlebars on my SM5 RS

The wife thinks I've lost my mind, little does she know I agree. Here's a shot at my arts and crafts work on that left hand cover

Yes, I put RT handlebars on my SM5 RS

I have a comfort seat and Rivco floorboards. The handlebars change the ride position significantly. It feels great now. The only thing that was a bit of a pain was cutting out the back cover on the left hand side. The clutch lever was in the way. The black bars look real nice

Yes, I put RT handlebars on my SM5 RS

It rides like a Big Wheel now, just love it. 😀 The only problem is the shifter is in the way of the cover on the left handlebar, I'm going to have to brush off my arts and craft skills and cut me some plastic. With the floorboards, heal toe shifter and the smooth Spyder back rest is more...

RS SM5 trouble shifting into 2nd

I have an appointment set at the dealer but, that doesn't make me stop trying to figure it out. After reading the comments about oil, I added just about half a quart. That took it above the full line but, half way between full and the top of the checkering when hot. That improved the shifting a...

No damage to the Spyder, only my sense of invincibility took a serious hit.

    I'm NOT That Smart...

I really think this is a long term good thing for Britain and us. The EU is doomed to failure with their stupid monetary system. They have let too many freeloader countries in and they are draining the rest dry. When the EU dies a horrible death the more countries who have separated themselves...

    Dangerous, Stupid mistake

Every once and awhile we all think that we have this motorcycle riding thing down. We are riding a Spyder and think we are inherently "safer". We start paying more attention to the clutch problem or the latest farkle we just installed instead of looking at the road in front of us. We have been...

RS SM5 trouble shifting into 2nd

I took it for a long ride last night and there is a problem, but keeping it above 4300 RPM's and not shifting into 2nd until 30 MPH makes a big difference. I'm wondering if all the short shifting I've been doing since I bought the bike has caused this problem.
