• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Gas Milage with the RS

Most sport bikes have dismal mpg ratings and range as well. Take a stroll thru any Ducati or aprilia forum and you'll hear "blah blah blah I ran out after 100 miles" same story different ride. If its fuel sipping distance this is the wrong mount, an 883 sportster should get you 50 on the...

    2013 ST or 2013 RT?

Best idea ever! Even if I doubt there will be many rental ST spyders yet I know renting an RS for a long weekend sealed the deal with getting the girl on the spyder band wagon. it made a "do we want to do this?" to a "hell yeah we wanna do this"

    The Young want the Spyder......

As far as bikes go they took a huge step in addressing that issue and released the most unBMW BMW in a long time. They ditched all the nitchy things and said why remake the wheel? They set out to capture a younger market and take what they referred to as "conquest" customers. They set out to go...

    The Young want the Spyder......

This price point is key in many areas of motorcycling right now. With the days of razor sharp 600cc race bikes at sub 9999 coming to an end you have seen more and more companies release budget minded bikes at a more affordable price point as the 600cc bikes climbe in price and just now for 2013...

    Rain

Had to do some vehicle shuffling over the past days car needed inspection blah blah so tonight I went to pick the spyder up from where it got left the other night. I thought I had caught a gap in the rain but boy was I wrong! So I geared up in my jeans thirst and full face hit play on the iPod...

    MSRP just the start

I agree 100% be it friends with Ducati Harley or any of the alphabet soup sportbikes I've seen it all (just like other motorsports) I was just curious as to what type of $ people are throwing down on top of the spyder. Sometimes it seems as though a second bike or trike has just about been spent.

    MSRP just the start

How much have you spent in mods, or whatever you wish to name the little (cough and big) add ons to your spyder?

    For sale?

They must live next to the dealer to get it back with so few miles on it... Or it was a "hey honey look what I bought" ... "oh no you didn't... Bring that snowmobile back... NOW!"

    For sale?

I understand the unexpected financial crises, but I don't think that's every case. And especially the decked out from the dealer etc and yes so few miles always makes me wonder... It's right up there with the 5 year old bike with under a thousand miles. Not that I'm racking up crazy numbers...

    For sale?

It seems I see many spyders and other motorcycles for sale the same year they were bought. things like "hey have a brand new 2012 spyder rt se5 with 300 miles, not even broken in yet blah blah blah, has full exhaust, juice box, etc" Now I understand things happen and life changes and these are...

    Flappy paddle or bust?

How do you think the fjr compared to the spyder semi auto trans? I fully believe more and more will show up especially with the popularity the spyder has shown them to be. Combine that with if they ever change the rules for motogp and there will be a strong change both for ease of use and...

    Flappy paddle or bust?

Has anyone used any other motorcycle with a similar transmission?

    Flappy paddle or bust?

I think that's why I was wondering about the VFR because it is a highly advanced transmission and not like the dn-01 or worse the aprilia mana but rather a twin clutch almost sports car set up. I think if motogp prototype racing allows the teams to adapt such a transmission it would get a solid...

    Flappy paddle or bust?

The flappy paddle debate There are those thatdebate annual or die and vice versa. This is less about that and more wondering if anyone else has driven a motorcycle that has a similar transmission and how was it in comparison to the spyder se5. For example I know the newish Honda vfr1200 can be...

    Now what is wrong here?

Oh I couldn't agree more I just couldn't recall if anything else came that way... I would hope things coming from the far east and euro (Germany Italy England etc) would come boxed well. What about Victory? on a side note.... Would they box HD better for those getting shipped across the pond...
