• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    chrome wheels

Baby Moons? Those moons looked great but my mom hated them. If I had my choice of any wheel, I'd have a pair of 15" Crager Mags. IMO the most beautiful wheel ever made. They make even the most ragged car look better. Chuck

Check Engine Light with Orange Handelbars

Ground connection? This could be something as simple as a ground connection. I had similar problems and was told the engine is grounded at one place. A lot easier to check this than chase loose connections for hours, Chuck

Question about "14 RT drive belt.

Thanks to all. Thanks Mike. Yes, I'm back in the saddle but on a limited basis. Reason being I think my #1 priority is to get a new belt. It's just got some miles on it. Because of my disability I have a trusted dealer that does all my work of this nature. Back in March I had the RT in for...

Question about "14 RT drive belt.

My "14 RT-S has 160,000 miles on it. The Drive OEM belt lasted 1o8,000 miles. Since my first ride early this winter I noticed my drive belt is all over the rear sprocket. All the way into the shoulder to way outside. The belt, when outside, is on the outside of the front sprocket as well. I had...

    Hopefully another Spyder owner

A what? Who is selling this machine, a dealer, personal? Look around, in my opinion this bike has sat around, a lot. 2400 miles in 7 years?? No way I'd want it. Get him, or her down to $8000. I've seen cycles of all kinds sold with few miles. These machines, ANY machines need some break in...

Accident July 7, 2018. Prayers needed

Thinking of you both. I was thinking of the accident and was chilled to hear the description of what happened to Kathy. After my accident on May 30th I was doubtful to ever return to the saddle. It took 43 days recovery time to mount up. My injuries weren't as serious of what Kathy's were...

High Mileages on the Three Cylinder Engines?

Indeed Yes, I do ryde the 2014 1330 ACE 2014 RT-S. I do wish I'd have sprung the extra $2000 for the "L" model, but I'll settle for this plain ol' "S". Chuck #4036

High Mileages on the Three Cylinder Engines?

Correct You are correct Bob. I thought of retiring my 2014 RT-S after a mid speed get-off. But there have been improvements, in me physically, and my beloved RT, (new rear tire). I have been all around motorcycles most of my life and I have never seen such a well made engine. 157,458 miles and...

    The end of Chuck.

Thank you Pete Something I should have said earlier about my accident. I said I was going 65 at the time. Well that can't be right. I turned left onto a 4 lane highway off a 2 lane. From there it's half mile all uphill to where it happened. I would have been traveling closer to 55. This 4...

    The end of Chuck.

The DELAY of Chuck. I am overwhelmed with best hopes and wishes from you on my thread. Thank all of you so much. It's really got me to thinking, maybe there's light ahead. Many doctor visits and rehab have me moving well, very well I might add. Without my walker, but I still use it outside...

    The end of Chuck.

Some may know of my love ryding my 2014 RT-S, it's been my life for the last 3 years and 358 days. While ryding in the rain on May 30 I spotted a water puddle just ahead. I've ridden over puddles before and never felt hydroplaning. I passed over this one and went into an uncontrollable spin at...

    Handbrake on RT - Opinion

I like mine When I bought my 2014RT-S I ordered it with the ISCI hand brake. A farkle? Hell no. I needed it. Some people here need such things. If you don't need it there's no need to make any remarks about it. It doesn't work as well as any motorcycle front hand brake, but it still works for...

    I'll compare the two.

I was looking for a 3 wheeled cycle back in 2008. I test rode a 990 GS, (I think) SE5 and again in 2010 when the RT came out. I did want one but didn't like the engine, it seemed it needed a 6th gear. I also knew I'd ride it a lot and didn't want to fill up twice or more a day. But I think I owe...

    Seal Rear Tote Rack

I bought a Rivco I didn't know about the one from Seal, so I can't compare. I did buy the rear rack made by Rivco sold by Value Accessories. I did have to drill 4 holes to mount it, so It's permanent. I bought it so I could mount my walker to it to take it to Spyderfest. It worked very well. I...

    gee gaws and doo dads

Absolutely I"m not into tattoos, on me or my '14 RT-S. I have no problem with them on yours though. But Bob has a great point, make yourself visable first, after that farkles will happen. Chuck

I'm impressed Good Heavens Gerald. You're over 80 years young and still able to handle such things? My hat is off to you! If you ever ryde to southeastern Ohio, be great to meet you. At Spyderfest I met a man ryding a 2016RT-L who was 85. I'm 64 and handicapped but it's people like...
