• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    I'm getting really tired......

It's the people who pace me at 70 mph on the interstates that freak me out. They video and take pics. Occasionally they hang out of the window and try to talk to me. People do talk to me at red lights all the time and gas stations... don't mention them! My hubby hates to stop for fill ups...

Do you leave your helmet on the bike?

My husband will leave his helmet and coat. I will leave the helmet. We try to sit where we can see the bikes. We have never had anything touched but of course it is very possible to be a theft victim. If we are at a scenic stop, like in a wooded area, I tend to lock things up. There are...

    To all the other old 2 wheel riders;

I loved my motorcycle and will still ride my husband's Harley. But I love the Spyder. I miss swaying/weaving on the bike and I miss the attention I got as a woman riding a motorcycle. BUT I love the freedom and independence I have with the Spyder. I can load all my bags by myself easily...

    Charlotte NC Motorcycle show

This is the show closest to me in Kentucky and it sounds like fun. The website doesn't say much about what is happening at the show. Is it new bikes to look at and vendors?

    Husband complaining!

Oh he does lead sometimes and then he complains that I'm about to run over him! :D We do trade bikes at times and he has allowed as how he might get a Spyder some day!

    Husband complaining!

I will soon turn over 5000 miles on my RT. I won't say I have mastered the machine but I'm very comfortable with it and have ridden it in all conditions. My husband complains that I tend to ride faster now than I did on my Harley. He claims I'm going at least 10 mph faster on smaller roads...

Baker CanAm Spyder RT Air System

I put them on my RT. They work! The Spyder was a warmer ride than I was used to and in all but the hottest weather the wings make a difference. They also kept me much warmer this weekend when we rode in cool weather AND they keep me drier in rain. I recommend them.

    experiences at the dealership?

This was thoughtless of the employee but I'd rather hear their real opinion. It may not be the whole truth but it gives you something to think about and investigate.

    What are you lovin'??

I've had my Spyder about 2 months and have found plenty to love. I love the way it corners, the attention it gets and so much more. What do you love about your Spyder?

    acknowledging other oncoming bikers

I'm in Kentucky and pretty much everyone waves. I have noticed with the Spyder that I have an inordinate number of people literally hanging out of car windows waving at me!

    Ride through Yellowstone

The only thing I would add is there are rattlesnakes in the Badlands so watch your step and I would not ride after dark if I could help it in Yellowstone.

Anyone out there from Nova Scotia

Our ride to Nova Scotia, especially Cape Breton and the gorgeous Cabot Trial is my favorite motorcycle ride of all time. I dream of going back soon. It is beyond beautiful but tends to rain so take good rain gear! Here is a link to my photos from that trip...

    Natchez Trace Parkway

Lava, The town of Natchez was great and we enjoyed it but the Trace is pretty much flat with trees on both sides and very little to see otherwise. It is pleasant but I found it boring after the first 50 miles. There is interesting history to learn/read along the way but I was happy to get...

    Parking in public...

I traded a Harley for the Spyder. People went out of their way to be respectful of the motorcycle. Noone ever tried to sit on it or even touched it. No one ever touched my helmet left on the seat. I wonder why people think they can sit on Spyders? I haven't had this problem and hope I...

    Belt Tension and Vibration

This is an interesting thread. I just returned from my first extended trip that included a lot of time at interstate speeds 65 to 75 mph. I found that as I reached about 73 mph (occasionally 71) there was a vibration/rubbing sensation in the bike. Going slower or faster got rid of it but it...

    "Biker" attitudes... Good and Bad...

Just finished a ride through West Va., North Carolina, Tennessee and Kentucky and got more waves in every state than I could respond to! I got waves from every kind of bike ~and~ from people in cars and on foot!
