• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

You older guys with Spyderlovers history.

You already know what I'm learning, here in Cuba. I'm only 71, after all.:D Got to meet a few of the Cowtown gang, today. Rick, Len, Sam, Joe and Dan. Sorry, Sam, I've already forgotten Mrs. Sam's name.:opps: Not all employees, of course, but all nice folks. This is gonna be good, for...

Keep an eye out for this guy

No need to keep an eye out for him, he came and found me/us!!!:2thumbs: Comes a knock on the door, and there he is, with a great big grin, and a Missouri hand-shake. If y'all are as friendly as Len, then it's gonna be a great time at :spyder2:fest, for sure. Thanks for the warm welcome, Len...

    In Cuba!

Didn't mean to, but we arrived last night. Never bothered to stop between Branson and Cuba, because we were ducking storms, and decided that one place was good as another. Glad we came on in. Booked for 11 nights and got a great rate, at a nice little park, within ear-shot of Cowtown. Lady...

Do I really want to know?

OK, thanks. :ohyea: That's the one. Now, I'll stop joking around.nojokej Sparks my interest, because, as you know, the seat on the S's is pretty bad, and I'm gonna be looking at all the possibilities, once I get to Cuba. Still, in a small photo, without any warning, that thing looked like...

New members faster than I can welcome them!

Can't believe the activity on this "Page". Easy to understand, though, once you've been here for even a short while. A great page, for sure. Don't know how you could keep up with everyone, since it's hard to even scan through all the posts, every day. Great job you're doing! Thank...

Do I really want to know?

The one with the (seat cushion)?, or whatever. Not what you'd like to see as a mural over the dining-room table!:yikes:

Loving the forecast for next week in Cuba

Working our way through Arkansas, and Missouri, and watching that lower-right portion of the TV screen, every few nights is getting old, fast! Last Thursday in central AR, and again, last night, just north of Branson, we got a lesson on what it's like to have to keep an eye out for warnings...

Do I really want to know?

Hey, Lamont, is the "story" of that photo under "Stuff", at the top of the Forum page, one that we should wish to hear?:dontknow: or:roflblack: or :gaah:??? Can I post this little moto that I learned from a Canadian? If not, please delete this part.:DV :"Never pass up an opportunity to...

    It's getting better every day.

We left our wintertime RV park in Brownsville, two weeks ago today. Stopped in Rockport for several days, and then on to DeRidder, LA for two nights. Put 150+ miles on the Spyder, while there. Ever there, be sure to stop by the Two Sisters Restaurant for some of the South's best home cookin...

Who is arriving on Tuesday in Cuba

Yup, we'll be arriving sometime around the 24th. We're booked at the Blue Moon RV Park, Exit 203 in Cuba. Come get a free demo of how we load the Spyder into the Sierra Dura Max. I haven't seen another side-opening pickup cap, but expect to run into one, sometime.:D

    Spyderfest 2011 Info and check-in

Why can't I print the Spyderfest event schedule from any of the addresses given? Tried to copy to a file, and printing from that, with the same result.:helpsmilie: I get an almost full page of black! There goes another cartridge.:( We have Windows 7. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks: DW

Only girls ride three wheels !!!

Late getting on this thread, as usual. Can't believe how busy this site is. Haven't had any negative reaction to my Spyder at all, but I can see how you'd feel when it happens. I posted, somewhere else on S L's, how H D had their chance, back in the 90's, and muffed it. Design for...

    Question?

You mean my wife wasn't "normal" when she let me rinse the gunk off those Bultaco cases in her kitchen sink?:dontknow: Or, when I used to heat those same cases in the oven to get them apart? ;) She does bitch a little, if I forget to bring back the Dawn dish detergent, when I clean up a greasy...

    I'm open to advice...

:thumbup:If you decide to go with a Spyder, please try out a tourer. I didn't, and I think that was a mistake. I'm 71 now, 70, when I bought my 08, last July, with only 600+ mliles on it. I'm right at 6' tall and 200 lbs, and I find the riding position of the RS to be cramped and...

Is it time to stop group riding?

Just FWIW. I was on a group ride, two weeks ago, with 3 two wheelers, and a Ural W/sidecar, the Ural leading most of the time, and I, on the Spyder, hanging back, (most of the time). We were up in the Texas Hill Country, and I was along to enjoy the scenery and take video, etc. The Ural rider...

A few observations, if I may.

Thanks, guys. Lots of things I'd like to cover, while I'm near a bunch of other Spyders. Like, just listening to a few other engines, just to see if some of the paranoia about the "sounds" coming from mine can be put to rest. I've been a dyed-in-the-wool DIY'er all my life, and it's too late...

    Pump Up The Volume!

Good idea, to look it up on Google each time. I've kept it on my favorites, but, if it helps to bump the site up, why not? I switched over here from the "high-price spread", due to a short word-of-mouth, and havn't been back over there, even once. Don't know how you're doing it for free, but I...

A few observations, if I may.

First thing I ever tried was a full-size sheepskin (unsheared). Fit the KLR seat like the proverbial glove, and nearly as "custom" fit for the Spyder, too. Used that, and a 2" thick foam pad, riding to Nova Scotia and back to Vermont, last Summer. Since then, I've used the Air Hawk, the AH...

A few observations, if I may.

I forgot to ask! What's sex? I seem to have forgotten, if I ever knew.:dontknow:;)

A few observations, if I may.

Well, I did say that I was probably going to stir the pot!:D Throwing snowballs? Whazat? Guess a little more background data is in order. * It's an RS. * I have a 27" high and 27" wide windshield on it, which I recently raised another 3.5", because it was too low. (I'm 6' 0" tall, W 32"...
