• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Sheepskin seat covers

So does your Airhawk rest on top of the seat and the sheepskin hold it in place? How do you adjust the air if it is covered up? I went to the Airhawk website since I have never heard about them before and I read some good info. It looks like you get an air cushion that you put on your existing...

    Sheepskin seat covers

Did you have to cut the sheepskin cover to fit your Utopia backrest or did your cover have a slit in it to accomodate the backrest? I'm still trying to decide if I want to keep the stock seat, put on a Utopia backrest and Corbin armrest or buy a totally new seat.

    Sheepskin seat covers

Coming from a newb, what is the benefit of the sheepskin? I'm guessing more airflow to reduce sweat and additional comfort.

    SE TRANS PIKES PEAK

I've never taken a spyder down Pikes Peak, but I've driven it a lot of times when I lived in Colorado Springs. You just need to take it slow in lower gears and you will be fine. There are places that you can pull over if your brakes start to overheat. The pullouts are great places to take...

NEW RS BumpSkid tm NOW AVAILABLE ONLINE

Thanks for the info. I called Harvey at SpyderPops and he basically told me the same thing. No harm in leaving it on. I get extra protection, but I will lose a bit of ground clearance. If I start dragging the nose of my RT, I'll take the stock skid off. For now, I'm leaving it the way it is...

    New Elka shocks

The floaty, wandering feeling is precisely why I'm looking at new shocks. I set my stock shocks to the maximum stiffness setting (5)and it is much better than it was when the shocks were set at the third adjustment. I feel more confident cornering and riding at highway speeds now because the...

NEW RS BumpSkid tm NOW AVAILABLE ONLINE

Thanks. I started at step 1 and didn't read the line above the steps. :banghead: Guess I'll be taking off the BumpSkid to get the factory skid off and then put the BumpSkid back on. I hope taking the factory skid off won't change the bolt hole locations that I drilled for the BumpSkid. :gaah:

    Info on safety

:agree:. It is about risk management. I had to deal with it and I'm glad that my wife and I have come to terms with riding a bike and the spyder.

    night driving

I don't have the problem of finding the shifter, but I do hit the horn a lot when I'm trying to find the turn signal. :banghead:

    Info on safety

Hope your daughter is alright. The driver should have gotten more than a citation IMO. As far as the OP feeling safe, all you can do is try to protect yourself and enjoy life. I had a bike and as the sole bread winner, I would get a sinking feeling in my stomach everytime I got on the bike to...

    New Elka shocks

I have the same question. I'm running the stock shocks on my 2012 RT and I'm looking at the Elkas. It looks like Cowtown is putting the stage 1 or stage 1+ on most RT's, but some people are running the stage 5.

NEW RS BumpSkid tm NOW AVAILABLE ONLINE

Did the factory skid have to come off before you put on the new one or did the factory skid come off because there wasn't much of a stock skid left? I'm asking because I installed the SpyderPops RT BumpSkid on my RT, but I didn't remove the factory skid. I don't remember reading in the...

    Extended Warranty second thoughts?

The price you paid for the extended warranty sounds like a good deal. Knowing that you can buy the Best warranty from a forum supporter for $749, but it is 2 years less than your coverage, I think $1200 is a fair price. The only down side to your plan is that you probably have to get all of...

Multiple engine lights, last one almost got me run over by semi

Sorry to hear about your spyder issues. I hope you can get it resolved quickly, so you can get back on the road. Let us know what happens to help out others that might be in the same boat.

    It's not the destination,

Nice pics. Where did you take those? I'll have to meet up with you or head out myself to check out the area. I'm still waiting on my intercom helmet before my wife and I go on a 2 up journey.

    trailering Can-Am Spyser RT

I'm using a Drop Tail trailer for my RT. My spyder clears the ramp when I ride it on the trailer. It also folds up to take up very little space in my garage. I show it folded in two of the photos, but you can stand it up to take up even less space. The youtube video will give you a better idea.

    CanAm Hybrid

I wonder if it will have the same riding distance on a charge that we get on a tank?
