• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Visit to Corbin on the RT

Hey Lamonster, The missus likes the stock seat, but if Corbin makes one that lets you re-fuel without raising the seat she will probably contribute to the fund to buy one:2thumbs:. She hates having to carry her "stuff" when we stop for gas/potty. Come to think about it, she would like to lower...

    RT-S handling

Yesterday was the first day we've been able to ride two up. I'm (we) a bit dissapointed it the handling. The ride is good, the handling isn't. There is way too much roll-over in the corners, even the wife mentioned it. I had the front springs adjusted full up, the rear set either at full up or...

Intermittent fault in the Yaw Sensor - replacement on the way!

Guys and Doc, Got the RT back Saturday, rode it home. Rode it today for another 140 miles, everything seems ok. The tech showed me the code, I think it was a "C" code but can't remember. He showed me a ton of stuff that they can look at when they have the computer hooked up. The only thing he...

    DPS issue

Bhawksworth, Did it go into "limp mode"? Limp mode won't let the rpm go above 3500 rpm, that's equal to about 50 mph on my RT. If it did go into limp mode I would suspect the same problem I had (see the thread on limp mode). I got my RT back from the dealer Saturday. It was in for service and...

Ronsam, Tell me more about the heated seat please. Thanks Dwight

    RT Covers

I traded the big cover that came with the RT back to the dealer for the small travel cover. I would have never used the big cover so I didn't care about the difference in price. BTW thanks Scotty for the heads up on installing them! Dwight

    Who has gotten their trailers?

My dealer, Reno's in KC, has one sitting on the floor. I too am patiently waiting on my communication setup, however the parts guy says that now the headsets are delayed, probably early May before they get here:mad:. Dwight

    SE5 Centrifical Clutch

Mine died once while stopped for a light. It was idling and just died. One other time it almost died, again at a stop light, same deal. It's in the shop now for service and replacement of the Yaw Sensor for a limp home fault. Don't know if that has anything to do with it dieing at the light but...

Intermittent fault in the Yaw Sensor - replacement on the way!

Well, it appears that my limp home mode is the result of a bad "Yaw Sensor". They are not absolutely sure of it yet but are confident enough to have ordered a replacement. They (Reno's in KC) are still talking to BRP, it appears to be an intermitent fault. The good news is it happened to the...

Don't mean to hi-jack the thread but what charger are you using that you can plug it into the port in the trunk? Thanks Dwight

    Spyder RT Revision Shirt Design

Any plans for white or light colored? I need long sleeves (Dr's orders) and the dark ones are too hot for summer riding. Wife wants some also but she prefers short sleeves and black is fine with her. Dwight

    Re-flash?

Frank, My dealer told me the same thing. I asked the service writer about it some time ago and he checked to see if mine needed it, said it didn't. It's in for service so maybe I'd better call and check about it. How are things going with you? One of these days we need to get together for a...

    RT-S Limp Home!

Sounds like they might have found the problem. I took it in for the 600 service on the 27th. They were working on it before I left which kinda surprised me. I forgot to have them adjust the front shocks so I called them about 3:30 to add it to the list. The service guy said they thought they had...

    GPS / CB-Intercom ... When?

Hey guys, I was at the dealer yesterday for my 600 service. I thought I'd pick up my headsets so I could at least have them mounted when the CB and GPS come in. Those are supposed to be here by the end of next week. When I asked about getting the headsets they said that they wouldn't have them...

    Limp mode code P0000

Thanks Cotton, good information. Next time I'm at the dealers I'm gonna order a manual. I know there are CD copies but I need paper!! Dwight

    RT-S gas milage

I don't have a clue what my RT-S gets for gas mileage. Know what? I could care less! What is the big deal about gas mileage? If you really care about gas mileage why did you spend a great deal of money on the RT-S? I seriously doubt it's gonna get any better. I'm sorry if it's not what you...

    Limp mode code P0000

OK, can anyone help me with that code (P0000)? I posted the thread on the RT-S limp home. I just tried the Mode-Set-Turnsignal trick to read the codes, I had to start it up for it to work but it did show this code in the display screen. I don't have a shop manual yet so can't read it. I...

    Windshield removal??

Cool, let me know how it comes out. Never thought of just having it tinted. I bought replacement tinted shields for my Harleys for $40 plus shipping. They were as good as or better than the stock ones and cost way less! Dwight

    RT-S Limp Home!

The lugging thing interests me. Although I'm pretty sure "lugging it ":D isn't my problem, if there is an actual fault for that, it will sure as heck show up after the problem began. Once it went to limp mode if you tried to exceed the limit rpm in any gear it would start bucking, enough so I...
