• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Automotive rear tire

Funny you should mention that........because that was my first thought. I know of a Harley rider that kept his new Harley in his family room and even decorated it for Christmas. I often accused him of putting "Easy Rider" in the DVR and sitting on his Harley while watching it......he hardly...

    Think I screwed up!!

Ron you are a very generous person Thank you Ron for your very generous offer. I think for now the battery is all right. I have the Corbin bags......just wondering though if the soft bags would work on a 2 wheeler or if they are Spyder specific. I know some one that might be interested that...

    Think I screwed up!!

Sorry Roger, I did hook the battery to my "battery maintainer" and not a "trickle charger":opps: The good news is that over night the baattery seems to have come up to a full charge. Will have to see if the battery will still be reliable or if it is time indeed for a new battery. Like...

    Automotive rear tire

Hi Bob, Your right it is no longer available, but when I heard that, I got in touch with Cole Muffler/Mavis Tire in Cortland where I bought the first one. They were able to get me "the very last one in the warehouse" ......their words. :dontknow: So I'm good for at least another year or so...

    Think I screwed up!!

I noticed this afternoon that my running lights were on. Went over to the bike and sure enough the key was on, but I don't remember turning the key on. I did push the bike out of the garage because I was sharpening my mower deck blades and didn't want to get the dust and grime all over the...

    Automotive rear tire

Hi Chad, I've had very good luck with my Michelin Hydroedge and now have about 27,000 miles on it. I'm carrying about 23 lbs. in it and handling is great and it is wearing absolutely perfectly all the way acroos the tire. I think I can get another 3,000 miles on it before I'll need to change...

    A freeky thing happened yesterday

Thanks for all the replies and concern about my little incident, and all still seems well with the belt. I think the rear sprocket took the hit, my wife said she saw something go rolling off the road into the grass and I thought at first I must have dropped the front sprocket and that was we...

    A freeky thing happened yesterday

We were on our way to a PGR mission yesterday and had just left our house when I must have hit something in the road in a dip where the town had replaced a drainage pipe last summer. They have never fixed the blacktop since they had it dug up and it is quite annoying to go over that dip...

Curiosity question - when did you get your Spyder & how many miles have you done to date?

I have PE 2275 GS I took delivery of my 2008 GS on April 9, 2008 and have 85,973 miles on it. We ride a lot during warm weather and even some of the colder months and little to none between December and March becasue of the salt on our roads.;)

    Questions That Bother Me!

This has always bothered me: Why does something that is supposed to be soft turn hard when it's stale and something that is supposed to be hard or crisp turn soft or mushy when it gets stale!! Like bread for instance and celery.:dontknow:

My spyder finally left me strandsd along the roadside

I got my Spyder back together today and all seems well now. Since my problems started about 3 weeks ago with coolant problems I have replaced the reservoir that was leaking, the connector (mixing chamber) that was leaking, thermostat housing that was not leaking but replaced it "just in case"...
