• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Looking into the future of the RT

If this thing was perfect right out of the box, what would all of the tinkerers improve on? :dontknow:

    Poor Man's GPS

Had to use a 3/4" spacer, so the bolt needed to be about 3/4" longer.

    Poor Man's GPS

The Garmin is a Nuvi 285, but really any GPS will work. I did a similar set up on my previous BMW using a very cheap Tom Tom and it worked just fine. The Aqua box is their medium size, Ram-Hol-AQ6U.I also used their 1 3/4" souble socket arm and used Scotty's idea for mounting the ball to the...

    Poor Man's GPS

My wife gave me a Garmin Nuvi for my birthday so as to have a GPS with us on our all too infrequent trips out of town. I wanted it mounted on my Spyder, but it was almost useless not being able to hear it . So I ordered an Aquabox and the applicable mounts to mount it between the bars. This...

    switched power wiring question

Please keep in mind that this wire is only live when the engine is running. Just turning the key on is not going to give you a live wire.

    switched power wiring question

I think your best bet is something fed through the load shedding relay. If you have an RTS, about the only thing I see in that neighborhood is the light green/gray 18g wire that feeds the positive terminal on the rear heated grip switch positive ("A") terminal. Beyond that it looks like you will...

Analogue temp and fuel gagues... disconnect

Take the 4 screws out of the dash panel. I think it is a T25 wrench, not supplied in the tool kit. The dash will then pull out. There are some clips holding it at the sides, so pull there. The only thing hooked to the panel are the gauges. The single wire is for the light, and there are 3 wires...

Two Pounds of Pressure Less, and WOW

I would think that the key word here is "recommended". I am currently running 20 psi in mine, not saying that I will stay there forever. I like the way it handles at this pressure, though I may do some experimenting. When I had the 600 mile service done, the dealer lowered pressure to 15 psi. My...

    Rear Ended

I would get it to a dealer and have it looked at from head to toe. It may have more than just a bent fender, as there are lots of pieces that could have bent slightly, causing alignment problems. I'd have everything fixed back to original, then remove the fender if you so desire. After all it is...

Would you like a "Shake" with those fries?

I've live in southern Indiana for over 50 years. I've never seen a tornado, but I have felt 3 earthquakes. Go figure.

    Latches

I never slam mine. I push hard right at the latch to close them.

All Bulletins for the RT ?

Dealer said one had to do with throttle resistance, trying to make it feel more like a cabled system.

RT Update- Gearbox Position Sensor Initialization

I took delivery the first part of February, PE #793. Having a higher or lower vin# probably has more to do with already having the updates or not than the date you took delivery. There have ben many people recently receiving PE models with much lower numbers than mine. If I were you, I'd go for...

RT Update- Gearbox Position Sensor Initialization

I had mine at the dealer yesterday for it's 600 mile service. The tech mentioned when I arrived that a new update had just come from BRP. After the service was complete, he said my bike was up to date and did not need any updates. I guess since it was a later build it already had the update done...
