• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    We had a wonderful ride all day today. A wonderful group of riders. Did the tunnel of trees in fifty degree temp but no rain and it was beautiful. Crossed the Big Mac bridge and back which became the highlight of the ride. Funny and exhlirating feeling over those grates 300 feet above water...

    Do we really have a choice but to have the new/recall dps installed. I am hesitant too of any tampering/replacement following the saying if it aint broke, dont fix it.

    Wish you well and a speedy recovery. The location and configuration of the parking brake is awkward and skrewy to say the least. I avoid using it all the time.

    I check mine two to three times between oil changes. Usually I add a little bit between oil changes, less than a quart, but never overfill.

    Safty recall on DPS

    Called my dealer RayC's in Lapeer Michigan. Told me will put me on waiting list. I dont have an issue as I have never experienced a dps problem in near 8K so I said take your time I am in no hurry. Was also told it is a 5-6 hr job and as such would come and pick it up from my house ( 60 miles)...

    Winter on way

    Battery tender and a small electric heater in the garage for December through March in Michigan. Always ride when temp above 30 and dry pavement. Never had an issue.

    Backfire

    What exactly is backfire. What causes it to happen. Is it preventable. Is it harmful to the bike. Every now and then my 09 SE5 drops a bomb , mostly on the left. Other than that 7800 miles running like a charm.
