• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Superclamp Spyder Tiedown with Floorboards?

    MPG'S

My Missus tells me I'm the most helpful person she knows. Maybe that's because she doesn't pester me with stoopid Spyder questions. :joke: As for the stock fuel gauge, it's an absolute joke. Mine is consistent but consistently wrong. My Zumo 550 sat-nav has a fuel gauge based on miles traveled...

    Applying a wrap

I would find a rattler-skin wrap around my zorst amusing. By the way, I couldn't help noticing that in your self-portrait avatar your hairline is migrating north and your eyebrows appear to be moving up to fill the gap. Kinda in keeping with Darwin's evolution theory, you represent an improved...

    Sore Wrist...due to throttling?

I haven't had a problem with my wrist on the Spyder since I fitted a pair of Grip Puppies, (foam grip covers). Another product which worked well for me during my 2-wheeler years was the Throttle Rocker: www.throttlerocker.com

    Applying a wrap

I made the same mistake in assuming this thread was about wrapping the exhaust pipe. The penny dropped reading some of the helpful suggestions. Doh! :opps:

    Spyder Pricing and possible competiton

The last 3 cars I've bought have all had a stability control system of one kind or another and each provided the driver with the option of turning it off. I tried driving without it one time just to see what it was like but I was as nervous as a kitten, afraid that the car would behave badly and...

CBC News - Winnipeg man parks 3 wheeled motor bike...

It seems that sensationalism and journalism in these modern times go hand in hand but it's far from being a new phenomenon. We once got chatting to a photo-journalist for a couple of hours in a pub. It was a long time back, maybe in the 60's. Neither of us can remember his name, but we clearly...

CBC News - Winnipeg man parks 3 wheeled motor bike...

You make good points, as usual Scotty, BUT the demo Spyder fire was real enough and it bothers me some, (I meant the Spyder was demo, not the fire)! For BRP to say the cause of the fire is unknown and is under investigation while at the same time insisting that Spyders are safe to ride sounds...

    Question??? With all respect.

As a citizen of the country which gave the world the English language I can tell you that we are not prissy (or petty) in Britain about sticking rigidly to correct spelling or grammar, communication is the important thing. I enjoy what some of you guys and gals post and feel that it wouldn't...

    Lost Key/Easy Frunk Opening

Keys? My trike insurers have laid down the following demands: If the Spyder is stolen from my locked garage at home they insist that I send them both ignition keys and both alarm transponders, both keys to the padlock and 14 mm linked chain which runs through one of the front wheels to a ground...

    Ive been lurking and farkling

I don't remember my RT's motor ever looking that clean and tidy and I've had it from new! I particularly like the double-barreled zorst, it just looks right, sets off your machine to perfection. Well farkeled, friend.

    What is it?

That clears it up. I could see from the original photo that it was ahead of the rider's footpeg but to the rear of the front suspension. I've been chewing on what it could be for a couple of days. I hate mysteries, so thanks.

    Lost Key/Easy Frunk Opening

Size matters. An observation I've been making all of my life, one way or another.

I tried enlarging it more but it became blocky, (pixellated). We're stuck with what it is.

    What is it?

A little while ago Capt Black posted an article from Mclean's about Baby Boomers. It was headed up with a photo showing a regular weekly meeting of Spyder Lovers. Below is a part of that photo which has me puzzled. There is something which I have been unable to identify hanging on the left side...

go pro suction mount on rt

I would never use a camera suction mount on a vehicle without a safety tether. If it releases you lose the lot....
