• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

What do you wear when you ride your Spyder?

I'm probably too new here to add, but I will. Over the 29 years Dudley and I have ridden together we have tried all but full leather or mesh jackets. Most folks I see and talk with wear the mesh jackets and gloves and helmets. Like the native folks found decades ago, wearing a soaking cloth...

A GRIPE We've had a wonderful, lazy day. For some reason we are tired. Getting to my gripe: Dudley talked about this trip for at least 2 months prior to its undertaking (lord knows I sure got tired of hearing about it). I don't remember any BRP or CanAm person suggesting an ambassador kit or...

Got back from Niagara Falls a while ago and had to take a walk to satisfy a chip/soda fix. What can you say? It was AWESOME!!:2thumbs::yes::firstplace: Worth every penny for the ease and leaving the work to someone else. Pictures will have to wait until tomorrow; should they have come...

Finally settled: in Herkimer, NY at the Passport/Glen Inn. EVERYTHING was full until Syracuse, NY according to 3 of the places in which we stopped. There is an Irish festival of sorts, football hall of fame swearing in and something else I can't remember. It is just short of 10 PM and my mind is...

Internet stopped working when it was my turn to post; this was Friday July 24. Met up with John and Barbara in the Berkshires; beautiful drive even while wearing our Froggs and 2 jackets and long sleeved shirts. Views were wonderful, too bad as the driver Dudley doesn't get to see all the things...

Well, on July 20 or so I mentioned the stir at the Digby lighthouse in Nova Scotia...lady asking about the spyder and taking our pictures. This was for a local fundraising event we stumbled into. Small community paper so there wasn't much of anything to it, but here is the link as promised and...

Howdy folks. I'll be brief (honestly!) cause I'm hungry and hope to beat the rush of folks here at the motel; some shoot-em-up cowpoke thing going on. Left New Brunswick in dreary weather and it followed us almost the entire day with a few spats of rain. Sun did shine a bit as we crossed the...

Hello. Missed posting yesterday as we were visiting and there was no internet. Yesterday was very relaxing and thoroughly enjoyable. One of our CA neighbors shared her mom and family as a contact in Halifax, NS and we were visiting/meeting them for the first time; lovely people, like going home...

Today was a wonderful day! The sun was shining, no fog, I had breakfast, our clothes were cleaned (I washed them in the hotel laundry) and we were ready to go. Even had to take off the leather jackets after a while; did keep the windstoppers on because that sure is a chilly 74 degrees or...

Pictures may be out of order for a few days. Wanted to mention the stir we caused Sunday (the 19th of July) when we drove up to a lighthouse. Saw this lighthouse with lots of exposed beach so decided to go to take a picture. Some function was going on; this discovered as we went up the dirt road...

Day started out (Windsor, NS) kind of gloomy and foggy and continued to get worse. I do tend to quetion our sanity at times, SIGH. We talked to one of the locals and he said no, they hadn't got any summer yet this year, NO DUH! This as I continue seeing people walking around in shorts and...

Souvenirs? Who can afford those? Seriously, what could I take or send back home that I just couldn't live without? A nice sweatshirt is interesting. Other than the price :yikes: there is such a short time to wear them in Jacumba; if I wait long enough some second hand store has just about...

I hear you about the few hours of sleep Kim, I have that too on top of leg cramps. Must be from the hours with the legs in the same position. At night I constantly hop out of bed to walk around and groan. The muscles seem to lock up and not release; these are the muscles on the outsides of the...

Brian I hear you about the heat; have been listening to the weather on TV at night and it's such a huge gulf from here to there. I'd probably gripe no matter the weather. Sure to get my share of sun/heat once we head back west. One good thing about having to wear both our coats, we have room for...

Good thing I had no access to the computer after we started off this morning because I had only BLACK :(:banghead: thoughts........and if voiced would have made me appear to be an awful person, SIGH. Drizzle and mist and trees and more trees and sometimes a meadow with a few buildings...

Jennifer's View Woke to fairly dense fog; least guessing since it's not something I am that familiar with; should burn off. Ate breakfast and thinking of packing up. Maybe once we clear the trees it will have burned off enough to see something different.;) Heard tell there is rain in the near...
