• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    APB On Missing Antenna

I tried sockets and open-end wrenches first but couldn't find one that fit (metric or SAE), that's why I tried the vise grips. Any idea what size socket will work?? Thanks for your reply!

    APB On Missing Antenna

Went for a long (5 hour) ride recently and didn't notice anything wrong until 2 days ago - my antenna was gone! I searched and found a video by Pierre  showing how to replace the antenna and, hoping to avoid going through the tupperware removal, I went to Harbor Freight to buy a set of...

Looking for credit card wallet recommendations

I use an aluminum case for my credit cards and health insurance cards in addition to my wallet. Most of them will have 6 or 7 slots and are RFID-proof. I believe that there may be some that are larger than the rest, which would work for carrying cash. Most can be found for anywhere from $4 to $6...

Trunk Latch coming unlatched - any suggestions?

When I added ahigh-mount brake light (and, eventually, a strobe unit for the brake lights) I somehow did not properly attach that piece of tupperware that goes above the latch. Consequently, I could not get my trunk lid to latch. I read of a similar issue here on SL and removed that piece and...

    5 1/4" Speakers

The Harman/JBL website has the GTO528's on sale for $50.00. Having a helluva time, though, getting anyone that will take my order. I chatted with someone and rather than taking my order, he gave me a link back to the page that I saw the speakers on. No one to take phone orders due to Covid 19.

    Wearing glasses with helmet

I wear glasses full-time, I tried various full face helmets and tried to put my glasses on after donning the helmet - didn't work! I now wear a modular HJC that I put on while wearing my glasses, no problem. It is important to spread the sides of the helmet!

While I'm not sure what the length that you need should be, if you take one of the bolts (and maybe the bracket) to a hardware store like Ace, they should be able to help you.

Rated-PG The IRS And The Boat Owner

The IRS suspected a fishing boat owner wasn't paying proper wages to his deckhand and sent an agent to investigate him. IRS AUDITOR: "I need a list of your employees and how much you pay them". BOAT OWNER: "Well, there's Clarence, my deckhand, he's been with me for 3 years. I pay him $1,000 a...

    Headlight

I did some more research, while the H8 and the H9 bulbs are interchangeable fit-wise, the big difference is in the wattage (read brightness). The H8 bulb is somewhere around 35 watts, while the H9 bulb is around 60 - 65 watts. Thanks for spurring me on!

    Headlight

Ann, just yesterday, I had to look up the part number for the fog light bulbs on my '15 RTL. It took a while, but I did find that the part # was an H8. After your response, I went back and checked the BRP site for the part # and it is an H8. I looked through the owner's manual and it does not...

F4 Customs in a new location

I ordered a replacement windshield for my 15 RTL and somehow the order got messed up. I had ordered a windshield without a vent. I'm guessing that in an effort to make up for time lost in the move, my windshield shipped with a vent. I received the windshield yesterday and called F4 to speak with...

    LED Headlights?

The LaMonster LED set (headlights and fog lights) were one of my first mods. I took a ride yesterday and noticed that the right side fog light was out. I keep the fog lights on all the time, but I thought that the LEDs had a longer life than the OEMs. I guess that I'll have to do a...
