• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    SM5 Shift Arm angle

I notice that the SM5 foot shift arm-peg is attached to a splined shaft. No surprise there. But can the arm be rotated (down) bit on the spline or is it keyed to a set position? Still noodling ways to drop the stock driver pegs more straight down instead of footboards, etc. Thanks...

Where do the ISC boards attach in the front? Bracket to the motor mount perhaps? Also, any shift lever extension for the SM5? Thanks, Pete

Who has the best foot Floorboards?

I found the updated pics of the Smith footboards. Let's see if this works. Pics of finished pieces as well as pics installed with a person seated. Note: I do not have these boards. In fact I do not - yet - have a Spyder. From Dean: "The price is 850.00 for the front and rear set with the...

Who has the best foot Floorboards?

I have not decided on a Spyder - yet - but I did contact Smith Industial and Stephanie Smith sent me about 10 photos: finished and with someone sitting on a Spyder with the boards. I have managed to misplace them :cus: I think you can upload pics by using the paperclip icon - that or someone...

    Yet Another Test Drive Report...

Sorry, no pics, that would have required THNKING on my part! But you could be correct in that - the more I recall it - ther was something vaguely "unfinished" about it. For one thing there was a tool mark near the vent relieff as if a hand grinder might have slipped. The vent itself was...

    Yet Another Test Drive Report...

No one is likley to learn anything new from "my" test drives today - well maybe one thing - at the BRP Coprorate Event at Riva Motorsports in Pompano Beach, FL. Got to to drive an SE5 as well as an SM5 and no problems with either especially the SE5 - and I did try to do most of the things...

    Corbin Pacific for Sale?

Picked this up at a Harley site while I continue to contemplate 30K for a TriGlide versus 20K (including (Corbin) mods) for an SE5 in light of the sensor gremlins. http://www.bizben.com/listings/138412.php But anyway...does anyone know more? Not necessarily a bad thing if true... Pete

I'll get my HWY footboards right yet...

In the "other forum" a user named araneae has attached a bracket to the rear nuts-bolts that mount the engine to the frame. Looks like from there a L or modified U shaped bracket could be fabbed to provide a mount point inside the tupperware. Pete

Any plans for duals - on opposing sides?

    Now mine....

Looks nice to say the least. I assume that you could get more pullback - if needed - if you rotated the bars more? Are you saying that your hands are 2+ inches further back than stock? I assume there is more rise than stock - if so - how much? Any interference with the view in the...

    Harley offers new 3-wheeler

Ya beat me to it ;-) I may be mistaken, but I think this may be the first Motorcycle OEM three-wheeler in the industry. Well, except for the Spyder Been rumors the Honda will do a Goldwing Trike - maybe 2010 when mfg is all back in Japan. http://www.2wf.com/content/view/1750/2 Middle of...

Any idea what that is bolted to? Are there threaded holes on the underside of the frame?! I realize we are off-topic a bit here... Pete

    where's evoluzione?

Speaking of exhaust...it was mentioned in another thread that Ken at Evoluzione was no longer offering the dual setup due to cost, price, etc. I never did see it on his WEB siste. Is anyone else working on a "reasonably" priced dual exhaust? Thanks, Pete

    Just got an EVO III

Also - confirm mirror extensions or not (does not look like it)?! I think Marcel has said he can "widen" the grip deflector portion of the shield to accommodate the extensions. Thanks, Pete

    Spyderwindshields.com?

How to measure for windshield height... I did not find anything with a search... Are there any reference points to measure from so one can establish the correct height of a windshield - specifically an F1 EvoIII? In final riding position say you want to just be able to see over the top of...

    New Spyder Web!

Mad Matt - nice work to say the least. Two Qs: 1) Will this work for the soon-to-be SE5? I guess it might even be simper with no clutch lever 2) Where should the fog light switch go? Thanks, Pete
