• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Rolling travel bag dimensions

I've got one of the Hopnel Front Tunk Liners and my comments are these: 1) the quality is commensurate with the price 2) it is oversized, such that, if you fill it outside of the frunk, it may not fit into the frunk. 3) re: 1) the stitching will not last long if you weigh it down. I...

    Cat hunts for food

I have to keep the cat treats in a drawer. If they are behind a cabinet door, one of the monsters opens the door and drags the bag out.

When you know it time to go from 2 to 3 wheels

Useful so long as you are stopping on a flat surface. I remember an off camber crowned road that got me when I had to stop. Could just reach with my right foot to balance, then my passenger decided to shift on the seat. We both stepped off the bike as it slowly toppled over.

    Moving BRP Video

Nice video but did you notice the two wheelers? All other vehicles (except for a boat, truck and trailer) were BRP products. Then there were the bikes...

just wondering if we are the only ones?

I in the same boat. Rode Suzuki and Kawasaki bikes but stopped at HD dealerships for the 3 button Henley shirts. The shirts are all work out because I got too cheap to buy them but loved to collect them, like the memories of riding.

7 plug audio cable for earbuds or headphones

There is a third party adapter for the J&M down cord that provides an ear monitor plug. CycleNuts, EdSets and Sierra Electronics have all sold then in the part. Don't know who has them at the moment. You would only require the down cord and adapter, IIRC.

    Blue tooth comm units

Greetings, your profile doesn't say which RT you have so I'm going to go off the premise that you do not have the BRP installed GPS. Where do you want to get your music? From your phone or off a music player on your GPS? Just attempting to get some boundaries on the query so you get info that...

    my pod camper

The RPod is a neat little trailer (I have seen them in person), but it exceeds the maximum weight and hitch weights as spelled out in your owners manual. When we looked at toy hauler 5th wheels, the RV salesman attempted to convince me that my F250 srw truck could pull the 40 footer that we...

    Flood or Spot light

Light force is an awesome light. Had a pair on a BMW but, they are huge. I had the Lance 140's and wanted the combo beams (fog and spot in one unit) , which, at the time, consisted of replacing the lens cover. Only available on the Striker 170's which were almost 7" in diameter. Too large and...

How many of you own more than one spyder

SWBMO felt that she was not safe on two wheels and purchased a spyder in 2014 just before her hip replacement surgery. We ride 2 up for the first few months until she was off the drugs and had completed PT. Once she took command of the RT, she started pushing me to get one as I was having...

    Pet Carrier

I used some craft styrofoam to create a wedge to support the front edge of our Kuriakin Pet Palace. This is mounted to a RT so it straddles the passenger hand rails. I'll end up making a cover for it but, for now, it works as is.

    Motorcycle mini camper

Glamping Camping and other thoughts I have a "been there / done that" attitude to tent camping off the two wheeler. Love the feel of the BMWMOA rallies but my body is too worn out to crawl around in a tent anymore. We went looking for alternatives. Looked at Bunkhouse and other tent trailers...

Reviving an old thread for a bit... dies anyone one know the book time for flushing the brake system? I was told that the spyder would be ready in 2 hours. Now they say it's a 6 hr operation. Yes, this is MMS so I expected to be lied to. fWIW, 2014 RT
