• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Ride On-maybe not for everyone

How can heat and humidity have anything to do with a viscosity change in Ride on when it's closed off inside of a rubber tire? I replaced my rear tire myself back in March. The old tire (with ride-on) is sitting in my garage. The ride on is exposed and this is a hot environment. It has not dried...

    Replacing the grips?

I've got grip puppies which are a slide over foam cover for the grips. Heater works just fine through the foam. Grip will be softer and larger as well as absorb sweat for better grip on hot days.

Test Results of Heat Elimination Mods

Used the Spyderpops lower blockoff plate Purchased a 3" air intake tube at Autozone (they come in 45, 60 and 90 degree bends--used a 90)---Pep Boys carry them also. The tubes are generally used to connect to cone type automotive air filters simply by pushing into a round rubber gasket at the...

    Disapointment With BRP Owners Event

Thx..i had a few things missing from my registration packet, the sleeve for the ID was one of them, didn't get the museum ticket either. Didn't know about the gas card so i didn't ask for it when i went back. Trip cost me about a grand so 30 bucks is no big deal in the scheme of things. Just...

    Disapointment With BRP Owners Event

First I heard of the gas card, I didn't get one. Still a great event and had a good time.

Balancing Spyder Rear Tire & Wheel Assy.

I don't know about the width as there are many car tires wider than ours (these are car tires!)...Recently changed mine out using a neighbors machines. We couldn't balance on the high speed because of the way our rim attaches as opposed to an automobiles. I put on a Toyo and used Ride-On. Got...

    Exhaust wrapping round 2

Nice looking job!! I had done mine in smaller sections so I didn't have to stuff as much around the hard spots. In the tight spots I only had a few wraps and used .041 stainless safety wire to hold wrap in place. The safety wire lays flat when twisted and doesn't take up any space like a clamp...

    Disapointment With BRP Owners Event

I came a long way and I thought it was an excellent event. BRP obviously spent a boatload. Granted, it's intelligent marketing for current owners which generally are future buyers but it's not something that most companies would even think of doing. Forums on general stuff and tech Q&As might...

Sena SMH-5D Bluetooth Headset/Intercom Multi Kit

I've got 2 fives and they work great. I ride one up most of the time and I find the sound quality to be excellent when paired to an iPhone. Music is clear and can do phone calls at any speed. I've ridden as long as 15 hours in a day and with just plugging it in to 12v charger while...

    87 Octane fuel

25K machine that most of us spend thousands on in mods yet we can opine over saving 60 cents in fuel. Mr. Spock would never be able to figure us out.

    CAT REMOVAL ?

It just sounds a bit louder and throatier. I took decibel readings before and after. Idle was 75db before and 79 after, 4000 rpm produced 87db before and 89 after.

    CAT REMOVAL ?

No, didn't have to add anything. Onboard ECM has enough range to compensate.

    CAT REMOVAL ?

I did it also and am happy with it. Only tests about 2 decibels higher BUT sounds better. Cooler, runs better and improved mileage. I think the big issue with a lot of folks is price. If you haven't gotten up close and personal with your Cat, you'll think, like I did, that all I need to do is...

200 miles on one tank of gas

My low fuel light went on at 188 miles...At 200 I took 5.75. Given slow traffic and stops figured I burned a half gallon in those 12 miles. That means I would have 1.25 gallons remaining from the point the light came on. Not sure if all of that is useable fuel though.

200 miles on one tank of gas

It's not that bad when you consider that it gets rid of the heat, at least 20 lbs of weight and a throatier sound at the back end. Most folks pay more to put on a different muffler. I looked at the Fuelly site you mentioned, looks interesting. On this trip in particular I was traveling from Palm...

200 miles on one tank of gas

While at Spyderfest, Pitbull hooked up my 2012 RT to BUDs and did a bunch of updates (year old and I had never been to a dealer). Noticed that it ran smoother, I could use lower octane and that the mileage jumped about 3 mpg. I have a K&N air filter and Cat Bypass. Bumpskid and sport windscreen...

Interesting Observation on BRP Adjustable Air Deflectors

I've got a lot of warm weather experience with them now. I'm not feeling the warmer air but that might be due to other mods. They work and are better than not having any deflector which is how I did last summer. I've also got the Bakers and I've played with each on and off. The Bakers put out a...
