• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Oops. Should have followed my first instinct. I had edited the post to add the link. My bad.

    Loading the Groceries.

I've had my RT-S for about 2 weeks now. I'll bite. Where did you put the watermelon? Or was it one of those small round ones?

On the road and need some info:

If I recall you get the codes with the engine on, press Mode and Set and then with your other hand also press the turn signal clear (all 3 down at the same time). I think that's right. Also here's how to read the active codes on an RS...

    access to battery location.

Would this info also apply to a 2013? (RT-S if it matters)

    ST handbar gadget mounting

No! I want Android integration too! I'm looking at this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2220108 What I really want to do is take a Raspberry Pi in the trunk and turn it into a "flight computer" that would do a lot of different things including making my bluetooth from my front...

Simple $40 X Phone Mount for RT with SE5

The RT handlebars are BIG. Here's how I did a pretty nice mount. Might not work if you have a clutch -- I have an SE5 so I don't know. Start with this: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B004O8LF26 and these two as well: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B005KWPJ04...

What do you do with your helmet???

In Texas, maybe more than you'd think!

    Good weather...

I have noticed that going anywhere with the Spyder takes extra time as people stop you in the parking lot to ask about it. You meet nice people. And you sometime meet the other people too ;-)Can't wait for it to get cooler here in Houston. I picked up some of those terrible bandannas that have...

What do you do with your helmet???

On my RT-S (2013) there are two helmet hangers under the seat. The problem is, my straps are not quite long enough to make it handy. A lot of times I just snap the straps together and hang them under the seat. If I really want to pretend they are safe, I slip the D ring over the hanger, but the...

    Broken Antennae

Mine has a rubber plug that just pulls out. Then there is a tnc or similar connector holding it in. That unscrews.

Where to by a RH grill

Apparently this is the VFAQ (Very FAQ; I asked it less than a week ago). http://www.spyderlovers.com/forums/showthread.php?56023-Stupid-Question-No-Right-Hand-Grille) ;-) Hope you are having as much fun with your as I am with mine!

    is it in my head

Are you sure you don't have the ball joint problem? BRP should be able to tell by the VIN and/or your dealer. The dealer I bought from swore up and down it was done -- not sure if it was or not, although it seems ok to me driving (with nothing to compare it to).

Gone with the Schwinn: $15 Phone Tank Bag if you can find it

I did find a few pink ones on eBay: http://www.ebay.com/itm/schwinn-bicycle-bag-/151094083993 -- if you search Schwinn Bicycle Bag you'll find maybe 5 or 6 but didn't see any red ones. If I keep it (think I will) I have to cut the Schwinn off and put another zipper pull on it so I don't get beat...

    Another stall in start/stop traffic

It does seem very rough at low RPM. I try hard to get to 5000 turns in first but it always sounds awful. Ditto for 2nd to a lesser degree. I've gotten pretty good about holding 3rd and 4th to higher shift points though. I'm trying to get more consistent on the 1-2 and 2-3 shifts. My wife...

    Another stall in start/stop traffic

Yes brand new. I, too, have heard it mysteriously goes away. The first time I thought it might be operator error, but I've put about 300 miles on and I am pretty comfortable now and I'm 99% sure I didn't do anything I don't realize. Now, maybe I'm doing something on purpose that I ought not to...

    Cup Holders

I thought the drink2go looked to small but it is actually a nice tight fit on a 20oz bottle. Have one on both sides.

    Another stall in start/stop traffic

I don't think I posted it here, but my ride home from the dealer, I was in rush hour traffic and my new 2013 RT-S just died. Well, having all of 15 minutes experience, I didn't realize that I could not shift to N with the engine not running. I also THOUGHT I had the brake down when starting in...

Gone with the Schwinn: $15 Phone Tank Bag if you can find it

I was at Target today and saw this for $15. Cant' find it on the web anywhere, so it is either new or old: The handlebar straps were Velcro so I though they might fit my 2013 RT-S bar (which is a fatty). It didn't. However, I did get an idea. I put velcro under the glovebox lid and folded the...
