• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Defcted

Well former fellow Spyder Ryders...I defected. As much as I tried to enjoy my Spyder and as much as I still think it has the potential to be a great ride, I had to give it up. I just could not trust the steering anymore and after the 12 hr ride from Jacksonville to Pensacola and the same back, I...

    CUDO's

Made business trip from Jacksonville to Pensacola last week and without the support from the following businesses/people it would have been more difficult than it turned out to be. Some may consider this advertising, I consider it people at businesses that go the extra mile to help out...

    GAS TANK CAPACITY

Besides, it's still fun to stop every so often and answer :joke: mostly silly questions about your :spyder:, I have learned to add at least that extra 10 mins for every stop to my trips, so I don't stop for gas on the way to work. I've learned to fill up the night before. :lecturef_smilie: Good...

    no riding today....

:yikes: Guess I won't complain any more about low 30's, thanks for the reality check. At least I'll be able to ryde today. Stay warm up there, and if not warm, at least safe. :spyder: :2thumbs: PS: Good to get back on here and try to do a little catching up, remember a few months back when I...

"JUST DROVE A CAN AM "TRIKE" AND HATED IT. "

I don't suppose we really have to worry about it with our :spyder: 's unless something really strange happens....but when I first started riding bikes many, well, i won't go into how long ago.....I was told this, "There are only two types of bikers, those that have gone down and those that are...

    Spyder Bucks?

 Everywhere I go, as the rest of you I'm bombarded with ?????'s and usually ends with, "Where can I get one?" or I'll tell them to go to the dealer for a test ryde if they have a FLA MC endorsement. I've already given out all the cards from my salesman. I totally agree we should be...

Saw a dude almost tip over on an MP3 Piaggio

And for some, like me, not having the possibility of laying over at a stop is a sometimes difficult idea to grasp......today at a light, I forgot where I was and what I was riding and put my foot down :opps: ...so as quickly as I realized what I had done, I went ahead and put the other down...

    Strange noise- Decel only

:agree: Just a few of the things I absolutely hate as a mechanic: ether (starting fluid) dries the cylinder walls and "addicts" an engine over time, fix-a-flat dries the cords from the inside of the tire and makes mounting and balancing a tire a PIA :( if not completely cleaned before...

    Spyder Charging System

You have a valid point LJ, with no flamin to anyone. With any battery a slow, low amp charge (if possible) particularly with lighter batteries such as mc, lawn equip, marine, etc is always preferable to high amp quick charges. Heat does as much (and IMO as well people i've worked with) more...

    Good thing I turned around

Been working on stuff since Sunday afternoon. (TS warning expired @4:30 pm EST) Lightning hit the neighbors maple tree at 4:45 pm and took out my grand-daughters bedroom window (flying wood from tree), broke 2 sections of siding and knocked a water bib off the wall (flying wood), blew holes in 5...

    New style rear tire

The open center on the tread pattern pumps water much faster than a rib or narrow center line. Good mud/snow tires have a lug pattern, the lugs don't necessarily grip any better but the lugs move individually and help dislodge trapped mud/snow faster resulting in the better traction.
