• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    I Reallllllly Want To.....

That is my dream, sell everything and do a combination coast to coast trip with alot of stops in between on the Spyder and then pull the camper to different locations around the states and take time to explore around every location that we stop at. I would plan on doing some odd jobs while...

    Loud beep with key off

I have a 2010 RT-S and this happened to me. I was pulling into the dealer for other schedule service and heard a pop as I pull into the parking while applying my brakes. In my case it was the parking brake actuator switch, located on the front actuator. After I pulled in I went to apply the...

    Ducati Competitor???

If you watch the video the guy has issues on the corners and when riding on the beach. You think we have to shift our weight what the rider has to do on that thing makes what we do look like no movement at all. It is uuugly, I would not even consider buying that thing, even if it was cheaper...

Looking to buy a Spyder RT-S Need Honest Input and Information i have thus so far

I'll give this a try: Power, I have a 2010 RT-S, we (wife and I) have traveled many miles 2 up pulling a fully loaded trailer. The power so far has been sufficient for what we have done, I have had a few times climbing the mountains in NC, TN and VA that I wish there was a little more power...

    Check Engine-Cause and Effect?

The oil is draining from the upper block areas that it would normally puddle in. When I change the oil in my diesel truck (13.5 quarts:gaah:), its capacity is 15 quarts, but I only need to put in 13.5, because there is oil trapped in the upper areas of the engine. When the Spyder is parked on a...

    Utopia Back Rest for RT

All I can add is make sure that you are comfortable on the factory seat before putting money into the backrest. I have one and love it!, but the factory seat makes me feel, as another member put it one time, as if I am sitting on top of the Spyder rather than sitting in it. I have thought...

Front Spark Plug Removal on RT???

just did it this morning, like I said I did not have a stubby and without it was a little agravating. I had to go one click at a time (not a lot of room) to finish the tightening of the plug. I have pretty good forearm strength and would feel confident that I couild get it with a subby, some...

Front Spark Plug Removal on RT???

I agree with Rhino79, it can be done from the LH side for both plugs. Caveat, the smaller you arms the better. You only have to remove the LH middle side panel, LH mirror, LH top side panel, and the plastic sheild under the top side panel. At this point you can get to the rear plug, after...

    Ride-on tire sealant-balancer

My tires are pretty even, I am starting to see a slight uneven wear on the wheel in question. I have 18,500 miles on mine so far and should be able to make at least 24,000 pretty easy before I need to change. I have checked as best I can without going through the alignment procedure the...

    Ride-on tire sealant-balancer

I have had a wobble/vibration I think since I have owned the Spyder between 48 to 53 mph. I took the wheels off and took to a local tire dealer to have them spun, while the tech was spinning the right hand wheel he called me over and pointed out that the wheel was moving from side to side. I was...

    Tires

Hey Sensei, I changed out to the Kumho at roughly 14,000 miles. I had changed my 2010 RT shocks to the 2011 RT shocks before I changed to the passenger tire. I found that the tire change made more difference with highway buffeting (behind semis) than the shocks did and the wife felt the ride...

    Replacing Brake Pad Questions

To answer your question directly, no. I replaced the rear tire myself, bought a Kumho for little over $80, per directions in other thread I removed the brake assy, loosened axle nut, jacked up Spyder, did not undo the bottom bolt on shock, loosened tire enough to remove belt, removed axle from...

    HID's

If you mount the ballast under the light make sure it is toward the front, you will see when you have the shroud off, just feel with your hand and find the open area where you can mount.

    HID's

With the mini-balast you dont need to do anything to the fog lights (if you have them), the balast will fit inside the housing. I just used heavy duty velcro and attached to the bottom right inside the housing (right where the rear cap is removed) and tie rapped the wires so it was all neat. On...
