• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Multiple issues with 2010 RT

2010 RTS, purchased 4/24/10 and have right at 15000 miles on it, only issue to date was a broken parking brake actuator. We have riden the mountains, beach, day trip up to ohio, 99 degrees to 13 degrees and would not hesitate to jump on it and go cross country. That said, I would not go...

    THERMO SUIT -VS- ELECTRIC SUIT?

I have the Firstgear suit and my coldest ryde to date is 13 degrees on the interstate, I feel that I should be able to make it to approx 5 degrees before I would have to look to something else to keep me warm. I have rode all this winter except for the snow or salt days.

changing rts 2010 front shocks to 2011 shocks

Well found the solution for anyone wanting to do it yourself. Northern Tool http://www.northerntool.com/shop/tools/product_200396119_200396119 They are are only $30.00 and should last for several uses. The u-bolt leaves just enough room to get on and off and the shock in or out when they are...

changing rts 2010 front shocks to 2011 shocks

I am in the process of doing it. I got them from my dealer (45 minutes away) with the thought that I would go down to my local autozone and rent some tool for compressing the spring. No go, the shock and spring are smaller in diameter than an auto shock an coil, so no tool that I could see...

    Vibration

Once again kudos to the Spyder community! I took off the front compartment and then the shroud in front of the radiator, shined a flashlight in and low and behold found that the nut on the short linkage rod was against the metal bracket. It had rubbed so much that the bracket had a V shape...

    Air Wings

I had them installed at SITS and so far I really like them. We rode home Saturday evening from SITS going over Grand Father mountain at around 11:30 at night, I was wearing shorts and a pull over. With the Wings set to block air I could tolerate the outside temp and drizzle, my wife was...

    Safety Card mount GPS?

It is mine, I will be changing a bit this winter. My final version will be an insert that will allow me to flip it back up into the dash and I am thinking about making slide down to be hidden. I definitely like it, not as much sun glare, riding through rain it just gets alittle of the back...
