• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Automatic Volume Compensation

Thanks Y Rider, I'll give this a try tonight.

    Automatic Volume Compensation

I didn't realize that there was any kind of adjustment for the volume compensation, I have never played around with that function. How does one access this function to make this adjustment?

    Automatic Volume Compensation

Has anyone had issues with the "Automatic Volume Compensation" on their RT? I backed out of the garage this morning to let the RT warm up before I left for work, I always turn the volume down on the stereo so as not to annoy my neighbors at 6:30 AM. But once I left and started riding I noticed...

Annoyed by people asking how much $$$$ ...

I have no problem trying to educate people, or answer questions from someone who's polite. I've even handed out some of the promotional cards that BRP mailed me. But when someone yells at me from across a crowded parking lot "What's that cost", their a PINHEAD, and I'm going to ignore them all...

Annoyed by people asking how much $$$$ ...

Yes, I too have been asked on numerous occasions and often it's someone yelling at me across a parking lot. If you can't walk over and ask in a some what polite way I don't feel obligated to "shout" an answer back to someone I don't know. And yes, that's often the guy that you just know is...

    Had to chuckle

Was invited to diner last weekend so decided to stop and pick up something for desert (never go empty handed). Anyways, I come out of the supermarket and put my goodies in the frunk, as I begin to put on my gloves and helmet I hear a voice behind me say, "Man! you wouldn't believe what I'm...

    RT Reveiw After Magee Valley

I am riding an SM5, I agree, I can't bring myself to ride my Spdyer that hard, took me awhile to get used to the higher RPM's when shifting.

    RT Reveiw After Magee Valley

Wanted to post this thread after the rally trip, the RT is the second Spyder I've owned. Origianlly purchased a RS in 2008, but traded it in on the RT in 2010. The rally was really the first chance I've had to stretch her legs on a long trip. This is just my opinion, but am curious to hear...

Where are all the ILL's & WI riders at?

For those owners in northern Illinois (Lake County), I'm in the Ingleside area. Spoke breifly with Orangeman at the rally. Would be nice to meet up with all the area owners sometime for a group ride or just to get aquainted.

Funny reaction at a fuel stop

Everytime I stopped for gas and almost everytime we stopped for food, I would have someone come up to me and ask about the RT. The attention is kind of fun, but there are those times when people expect you to chat that are just not practical or even safe. Still amazed after all the commercials...

    FRUSTRATED

Yes, I also experienced this when I traded in my 2008 RS on my 2010 RT last spring. It is a touchy switch, however, the more I've ridden the RT the more I've gotten use to it. I don't seem to have that issue as much any more. Only when I need to cancel a signal and I'm wearing heavy gloves do...

    Maggie Valley Registration

Glitch Yes, I spoke with a rep from BRP, apparently there was a glitch with the web-site, I wasn't getting the large "Register Now" button at the bottom of the screen. I'm good to go now.:2thumbs:

    Maggie Valley Registration

Ok, so what's the deal with the BRP web-site. I log in, but when I go to the registration web-site and click on "English" for the Maggie Valley event it takes me to the itinerary page but I can't get any farther than that. The "Registration" icon at the top of the page is not highlighted...

Chroming RT Rear Wheel & Sprocket

Now that I've added all of the chrome accents available (except the handlebars) to my RT-S, the rear wheel and sprocket really look out of place. Talked to my local dealer who offered to pull both off for me and send them out to be chromed. Unfortunately, the polisher/plater said it would be 5-6...

    RT "Bling" Complete

Yes, the seat cover is an "Airhawk". Just put that on recently so I've not had a chance to try it out on a long ride. I too experience a sore backside after about 2 hours of riding, especially in hot weather. I had the dealer install the chrome, as it requires a lot of dis-assembly to install...

    RT "Bling" Complete

The back rest is an after market add on. It's available from "Utopia. It's fairly easy to install, took me about 2 hours. I've included a link to their web-site. http://www.utpr.com/spyder.html

Original "Stock" RT Windshield No Longer Available

The dealer has offered to swop the new smaller windsheild for one off of a new RT sitting on the showroom floor which has the larger stock sheild. As always, my dealer is going the extra yard for me, gotta love that.

Original "Stock" RT Windshield No Longer Available

I took my 2010 RT-S in to have the original windshield replaced, as the original had cracked on me. As it was still under warranty the dealer ordered another "stock" windshield for me, which arrived and was installed today. Half way home it becomes apparent to me that the new windshield is...
