• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Rear Tire / Slingshot Owners...

You are 100% right on correct. The ones who are throwing a temper tantrum about your thread can take a chill pill.

    Rear Tire / Slingshot Owners...

The post to which you refer IS about Spyders. He is looking at options for the rear tire on his Spyder and thought the Slingshot people might have a recommendation. Good grief - I so tire of people who get their panties in a wad because they think their precious forum is going to be corrupted.

    Slingshot has me curious!

Hmmm...just curious. If you are a Polaris guy why do you ride a BRP Spyder?

BRP a no show at SITR

F3 the sporty model? Yeah, like a Harley Tri-Glide is a "sporty" model. The F3 is a cruiser - period. My personal opinion is that BRP messed up by not producing a seriously hardcore RSS. No doubt their market research people said that was not the way to go but market research people have...

    INSANE/AWESOME

I guess I should add that the prices I quoted are for the street version. The track version starts under $60k.

    INSANE/AWESOME

Wrong. They would be all over the place if that were the case. They start at $64k+ and go to $85k+.

Help! Stranded in Alabama with frozen ignition.

You've seen the survey - Yamaha tops the list on reliability while Can Am and BMW are at the bottom. Are Yamaha's perfect? No, but compared to other makes they almost are. In an case I have owned 2 Spyders and had some good rides on them but I was never comfortable when I got far from home...

Help! Stranded in Alabama with frozen ignition.

This is why I now ride a Yamaha. No flames please - I'm not trying to be nasty - just telling it like it is.

Disturbed by what I saw yesterday at Rockefeller Memorial at Newfound Gap

I live in East Tennessee and frequently ride in the Smoky Mountain area. I have seen the same people you have described with the child. Was it the same people? Can't be sure but most likely it is. I hope the odds don't catch up with them...for the child's sake. The adults should know better.

    Deer vs Spyder

I read both links and agree that whistles do not work. However I know of something that works remarkably well in the proper hands - a 30.06. Deer are vermin.

    Deer vs Spyder

The answer is longer hunting seasons and larger quotas. Deer have become vermin. Allow hunters to harvest as many as needed. The meat can be donated to shelters and other organizations helping the poor and needy.

Help!!! Stranded in Key West with a new 2015 Limited Spyder.

Brainlock on my part. The post I was replying to stated "AMA" - not "AAA." My bad.

Help!!! Stranded in Key West with a new 2015 Limited Spyder.

With AAA you must have the "Plus Motorcycle" coverage. Standard and plus coverage do not cover motorcycles. The motorcycle add on is about $35.00 over and above whatever other coverage you have.

    Riding with Slingshots

I don't believe the Elio will ever make it into production. If it does it will cost much more than what they have advertised ($6800). In any case the Elio is nothing more than a very small commuter car that happens to have 3 wheels. It is not fast and from the videos I don't think it is any...
