• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Reliability

Your back handed attempt at humor was kinda lame but thanks for the link to the FJ-09 forum. However I have been a member of that forum since December when I purchased the FJ-09. Know what else? A person can actually be a member of more than one forum at a time. I know you wish I would leave...

    Reliability

I can totally understand that. Over the past 6 years I have owned 3 Yamaha's and 2 Spyders (2009 RS and 2012 RT). I currently own and ride a 2015 Yamaha FJ-09. The RS never gave me any problems. The RT gave me the orange screen twice. Both times it restarted and I was able to continue on...

Where is good ole Al Gore

How vain to think that man can change the climate.

    Well, that's off my shoulders.

I purchased my first Spyder from American Powersports in Findlay, OH. It was a used 2009 RS fully loaded (full height touring windshield, BRP passenger backrest, and Givi sidecases) and had about 4000 miles on it. I had searched all over until I saw their ad in Cycletrader. No one anywhere...

So long Spyder, It's been nice know'n ya (kinda)......

I almost corrected your post but before I hit the 'send' key I read it again and am glad I did. Very funny:)

    Tail of the dragon

Sportbikes pass you if you are unwilling to use the pull off's. If you are slow you should be willing to get your ass out of the way. The tree of shame contains the parts of not only sportbikes but cruisers and others as well. Cruisers cause most of the problems on the Dragon.

    Decisions, decisions

Don't know about the dealers around your place but around here you wouldn't get much for yours on trade - maybe $13500. You probably won't do much better if you sell it yourself...if you can sell it. I have heard of some dealers who refuse to accept Spyder trades because they have such a hard...

So long Spyder, It's been nice know'n ya (kinda)......

I too traded my 2012 RT just before Christmas, but I went the sport touring route. I traded for a 2015 Yamaha FJ-09. It is one sweet ride. I absolutely love it. The best machine I have ever had. It's light (463 lbs compared to RT's 900+), will go 200+ miles before having to fill up, 115 hp...

A lot of Spyders in stock.

IMO BRP made a mistake in attempting to cozy up to the cruiser crowd. Harley people are gonna stick with Harley's - even after they are unable to hold 2 wheels up. I personally know of one such person who traded his Harley for a Harley trike. BRP produced the F3 when they should have went...

F3s have arrived at Lifestyles Honda! (Pictures)

F3 I'm sorry - even after all this time and getting used to seeing pictures of them I still think the F3 is so very ugly.

Then maybe we have an understanding. However not only is there a communist belief - there is also a Communist Party.

    Progressive Insurance

The original liberal CEO and founder of Progressive may be taking a dirt nap but the name he gave his company lives on and that would be enough to keep me away. However I must say that I love their commercials. The idea of the Flo character was genius. Oh, and another thing - there is a...

Thanks. I will continue to pop into Spyderlovers from time to time.

    I Traded My Spyder

I agree...mostly. Whereas the FJ-09 doesn't have the luggage capacity of the other bikes you reference it does have some and if a top case were added it would be adequate. As to size - it's not as small as you would think. It sits high. I ordered mine sight unseen based only on website...

    I Traded My Spyder

Honda ST 1300 As to the Honda ST 1300 - it's very nice bike but everything I read says it is growing long in the tooth - long overdue for an extensive update plus price wise they are on the upper end of their segment.

    I Traded My Spyder

Thus far with only a couple hundred miles I love it:) It does everything right and does it have the power. 115 hp @ 463 lbs. Taking curves without having to muscle it around brings back the grins I remember from a while back. As to MSRP - yes I paid sticker and from what I'm reading on the...

    I Traded My Spyder

For those of you contemplating selling or trading your Spyder this may be of value to you...or not. I had my 2012 RT A/C for about 18 months and 12,000 miles. Other than an orange screen a couple of times (both times it was fine after restart) it was trouble free. I originally got it because...
