• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I stumped BRP with this question

My strap is so thin, it doesn't make the trunk close any differently, but I'm afraid you're right. The trunk and its lid weren't designed to be used this way. If nothing else, I'm almost certainly challenging the paint along the sides.

I stumped BRP with this question

I guess a trunk rack might serve as my horizontal hook-up, but it'd just be in the way otherwise. My cargo net on the seat is perfect for holding my helmet when I'm off the bike and for clamping down a shirt or jacket that I can grab on the run, so I don't need to change its location. What I...

I stumped BRP with this question

I've actually been meaning to ask in here if it's eventually going to damage my rear trunk in any way when I run my thin, flat nylon strap around its hinge to keep my pile of grain bags on my passenger seat. IOW, I strap the bags together, then open the rear trunk, run the strap inside its...

I stumped BRP with this question

Ahhh! Can you tell me its internal dimensions? I deliver eggs to my customers via my Spyder, and I have a good setup already, but I have to screw around with my cargo net that I keep on my passenger's seat at all times. If this thing is 12" wide on the inside, and tall enough for several...

I stumped BRP with this question

Last night, via BRP's website, I asked the following: "Re your New SHAD Rear Seat Bag, can you please tell me the inside dimensions and how it attaches to an RT? Does it strap onto the passenger hand rails? Is there a strap to hold it upright, IOW, to stop it from tilting...

    Goodbye to the RT-S lineup

For some of us, it's the kinda talk that comes from living on a dirt road! :D

What is an entry level Spyder?

This is like asking for an entry level Corvette or Rolls Royce. A Spyder is a unique species. Strip it down to sell for half or a third its current price, and it's no longer a Spyder. Apparently, the lower priced models weren't doing well anyway, or BRP wouldn't have discontinued them. Let...

What discount did you get on your leftover or demo?

In early 2016, I got my yet-to-be delivered and assembled 2015 RT-S for about 20% off retail ($23K instead of $29K), with a couple extra years of warranty tossed in.

Why Did You Buy A Spyder?

After 40+ years on 2-wheelers, I got my first quad and loved how stable it was charging around our gravel roads, so I decided to look into trikes just for the heck of it, for my legal road riding. I googled 3-wheeled motorcycles expecting only to see the typical pair in the rear. Had never...

    Presenting your 2018 Spyders

I refuse to join FB, but I just followed the link on the email I got today (the unveiling thing), and I see that their FB page allows me to view everything. Of course folks like us can't interface with the site, but we'll be able to spectate. Here's the link...

RATTLING - Is something about to fall off??

Pete, you were absolutely right, right down to my belt no longer being tight. Knock on wood, the mystery has been solved as my Spyder is now jingle-free. The right hand axle-tracking and belt tension adjuster was loose (the vertical plate in my photo [click to enlarge]). My CanAm...

OK SO WHO IS WATCHING ECLIPSE OR WHO HAS A LIFE?

We had mostly sun here in southeast Michigan, and I was outside all day. Nothing happened. Not even a hint of darkness. Whenever I thought the daylight was getting a tad dimmer, it was simply a thin veil of clouds passing by. :dontknow:

RATTLING - Is something about to fall off??

Interesting!! And a bit comforting not to be the only "victim". And to know you're still on the road. :D

    EPA & Ethonal!

Farmland prices have also risen beyond the reach of many farmers due to wealthy investors hot to jump on the ethanol bandwagon. And while it seems "corn can be grown most anywhere", it's not as simple as one may think. We've been desiccating our aquifers for decades, so irrigating is no longer...

RATTLING - Is something about to fall off??

Thanks, Bob. I'll put down an old sheet and start doing what you suggest. My husband and I have already lifted her up a little bit and checked around under there as best we could, but we need to be more thorough before I go back to the mechanics. I'll definitely report any findings!

RATTLING - Is something about to fall off??

Nope, nothing in any of the trunks that could rattle, no gremlin bells, and it doesn't do it when pushing the machine up and down. But I'll bang on all the stuff you mention. Thanks, guys!

Do you belong to a local Spyder club?

Although you may find yourself to be the only Spyder on their rides, for anyone seeking fellow motorcyclists to do responsible, fun things with, look for your local ABATE chapter and attend their next meeting. Most states have ABATE by regions. In Michigan, the regions are numerous and small...

RATTLING - Is something about to fall off??

Early this summer, my 2015 RT-S developed a rattle which is low to the ground and seems to be coming from the rear wheel area, although, at times, I could swear it's coming from the right front. It sounds like a bunch of keys jingling together - high pitched and delicate - and is triggered...
