• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Danger of USING Digital devices while driving

Society's 24/7 umbilical cord to the almighty cell phone can have other consequences from the driver's seat. My friend, whose husband had been stressed and depressed for several months, was recently summoned to Child Protective Services for what, within several hours, would be retracted as...

    Diecast Spyder on Amazon

The description says, "perfect gift for kids age of 3 and up" .... I guess that's us!

    Fender reflectors seem loose

Good grief, you must look like veritable ball of fire rolling down the road at night. :D And who needs holiday house lights? You can just park her out front and plug her into a timer that blinks!

    Fender reflectors seem loose

Very kewl. I'd wondered if they showed up during the day ... question answered. Thanks again, Bob. (Now, will you QUIT making me DROOL over that cognac, already!)

    Fender reflectors seem loose

Okey doke. It looks like that's what I'll have to do. Danged roads around here. Hard to decide which are the most torturous on the bike - the dirt roads or the paved ones.

    Fender reflectors seem loose

I like the idea of the lighted ones. Thanks.

    Fender reflectors seem loose

I've been hearing a high pitched tinkling sound from the right front when going over bumps, which is 80% of the time. I wonder if it's been the loose nuts. Guess I'll find out now.

    Fender reflectors seem loose

Thanks, Bob. I'll have to look more carefully underneath to figure out how to get at them. So far, just feeling under there, it feels like a solid, smooth surface with nothing exposed to clamp onto.

    Fender reflectors seem loose

Ahaa. So the centers of both of my amber reflectors have indeed lost their attachments. Thanks again!

    Fender reflectors seem loose

Thanks, Ann. Mine are still very well attached, but at the ends only. Is this the way they're supposed to be? Or were there speed nuts at the center at one time?

    Fender reflectors seem loose

How are the yellow, slightly curved reflectors that sit on the outside of the top rib on each fender attached? A friend just noticed that the center of the right hand one on my 2015 RT-S is completely loose. The center of left one has only about half the play. They're clearly tacked on at...

Trial run camping trip with the dogs

He was born in '84, so no digitals then. I did used to run 4-5 rolls of film to the quick photo lab at least once a week, so I've got tons of pics, but nothing that I've transferred to digital format. He was a doll, though. And turned into a fabulous riding horse and bestest of the best of...

Trial run camping trip with the dogs

Welllll, maybe not quite. I raised my orphan foal in the house for awhile back in the 80s. 100# the day he was born. Used to watch Johnny Carson with us, etc. YOU'RE the pet in the sack with a snuggle buddy that big. :D

Is it true that Spyders do not need to be alined?

I don't think you need to sell your bike, either! Good luck with your recovery, take care of yourself, and let your ryding help you heal. BTW, "beadaholic", are you a fellow lampworker, by any chance? (http://toblerglass.com)

Okay... I DO Like The Looks Of It!

Black doesn't perk up my ears, although the gold is a great touch. Gimme a rich teal, turquoise or purple (or bring back the cognac!) and I'll definitely look twice. I'm too pragmatic to trade just for color, though.

How old is too old to get started riding a Spyder

By all means, start riding, JD, but please don't do the interstates right away, especially if you're trying to get your spouse on board with the idea. Get used to your Spyder by yourself first, as it's got its learning curve, then let your wife saddle up and become confident on secondary roads...

    No Power Steering at Idle

I always figured the reason my RT-S is hard to steer when I'm sitting still is simply BECAUSE I'm sitting still. The friction of two, nearly treadless, flat-belted and relatively wide tires (with the resultant generous surface contact) at a standstill is greater than when they're allowed to...

    Bugs

Lovely!! It's amazing how many products do more damage than good. Two examples: The mfr of one of today's porcelain-lined nonstick pans told my husband never to use nonstick sprays (like Pam) because they eventually create a sticky surface. And, my opthamologist told me Visine actually...

    Harley Dealer Visit

A friend of mine has 2 HDs; one is his anywhere riding bike, and the other is his show bike which he rarely rides because something is always falling off. I told him at least he doesn't have to worry about getting lost 'cuz all he has to do is follow his trail of parts back home. :D

    Bugs

And with no static cling! :D I must say, I have to wonder what these sheets are doing to our skin (via whatever film they may be leaving on our clothes) if they can dissolve baked-on bugs, etc. I, in fact, read an article last winter about the toxicity of dryer sheets. Now I believe it.
