• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Ten cool guns

A friend of mine got a really good deal on a 454 Casull. He bought it from someone that split his skull from the recoil, while firing for the first time. No thanks, I love to shoot but hate punishment.

Need help with 2012 RT-S (SM5) adjusting shifter linkage after installing floorboards

Interesting screen name, I am originally from the Lehigh Valley, and my old German Grandfather would tell me that when I asked a question that he didn't want to answer. Regarding the Seal Pups, I feel they would be the best option since your brake pedal would work without any chance of bottoming...

What are you going to do...

The wife and I are loosely planning to ride to the Spyder gathering in Myrtle Beach, SC. Depending on the weather, we'll probably ride down Saturday, May 3, and stay overnight and return to NC on Sunday. I'm curious as to how that event will be received.

    Crazy Question I Guess

I wouldn't ever want to think that a Spyder Ryder would ever do anything dishonest, especially not a Spyderlover, but last year at the owners event my friend had his backrest stolen in the parking lot at the event. I can just envision it being installed on a john Deere lawn tractor. You just...

    Seal Floorboards and Braking

I agree John is a good and cordial person. I just feel that if his product is showing a deficiency, he should stand up and provide us with a fix without having to go to a hardware store remedy. He didn't provide these floorboards for free.

    4,600 mile service

Bob, I'm very happy with my dealer, RPM in Albemarle, NC. They didn't actually replace the whole water pump but installed a seal kit. I've got the 9,400 mile checkup coming due shortly and I am sure they'll check the water pump again, I've heard the horror story's too. I've got the Best warranty...

    Seal Floorboards and Braking

I have the same situation. I PM'd John Anderson (Seal Floorboards) and he told me to put some washers under the spacer block and go to the hardware store and get longer bolts. I am not happy with that reply. You would think he would man up and come up with a better resolution so we cal all...

    4,600 mile service

I'm glad I took mine to the dealer for the 4600 mile check. The tech found that my water pump was seeping oil. He ordered the parts and scheduled the installation of the parts later in the same week. All was covered under warranty.

    Spyder Prices?

PW, Don't feel bad about parting with your show vehicle. I parted with my highly modified Bugeye Sprite, that I owned for 21 years, in order to pay cash for my RT Limited. Looking back I have no regrets because the Spyder is a new adventure and my wife and I enjoy it very much.

    water pump dribble question

The dealer discovered this problem during the 4000 mile checkup. He said it would be OK to ride until the repair parts arrived. He scheduled the fix for four days later. I dropped off the Spyder one evening and they had it fixed the next day.

Quiet garage, why is my ST have a high pitch buzzing?

No need to worry, they all do it.

    Trickle Charger

There is an easier way. When you buy your new battery Tender is should come with a quick disconnect cable that you attach to your battery and route to a convenient location on your bike. I have 3 of them and use them on my Spyder, Triumph, and S-2000. When they are parked they have the tender...

New guy with question regarding preferred yrs

Good strategy... You will love the Spyder once you pull the trigger. I sold my highly modified Bugeye Sprite and a TR-7. This enabled my purchase of the 2012 RTL. I've got a Triumph Bonneville also and there is no foreseeable reason to part with it.

    pictures of my syable

I love my 09 Bonnie Black. To qualify that statement Ill say... for one up short ride cruising. For long rides and touring, it's the Spyder RT. They are different machines for different purposes. They both have their place in my scheme of riding. The V-Rod, now that's another story.

Advice needed for a short lady

I don't know which dealers you've checked out, but I have had excellent treatment from RPM Motorcycles in Albemarle. See Rick or Steve, I don't think anyone will beat their deals.

    Officially hate SNOW

What is a snow blower, don't think I've seen one around here. I did buy a snow shovel this year, first time I had one since I moved from Pennsylvania in 1968.

    mechanicall problem

I can't say I had a "Major" problem, but while I was having my Spyder serviced at the dealer, the tech discovered an oil seepage on the water pump shaft. I had not noticed anything. The Spyder wasn't disabled so it didn't keep me from ryding. The dealer, RPM in Albemarle, NC, ordered the parts...

    TomTom GPS for Spyders

I have a Garmin on my Spyder, love it, got it in sync with my Scala Rider. I also have 2 Tom-Toms, one in my company vehicle and one that I switch between my personal vehicles and my Triumph Bonneville. All work great, no complaints. I'm sure you'll be pleased with whatever route you decide to take.

    Brewer Cycles, Henderson NC

Last Saturday I had my Spyder aligned by Honda of Winston-Salem. They were very efficient and got me in and out in about 45 minutes. My original alignment was 1/8" toe out, it was the second closest they've seen since they've been doing the ROLO alignments. It must have been very close to spec...
