• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Changing Exhaust

I used a die grinder with a cutting wheel to get my bolts off. I went to the hardware store and bought a couple of stainless bolts with locking nuts to re-install the original muffler if I ever need to. The original bolts were like butter and both heads stripped out instantly.

Anyone Have Any Experience With ...

I've got the TomTom XL350 that I rigged up to use on my Triumph. I'm very pleased with the product. I also use it with my cages, very versatile, no complaints and lifetime free updates. I think I paid $150 for it. I have the Garmin that came with my RT, and it is excellent also.

    Water Pump Ruins the season

Wow, I had my water pump repaired last month. The dealer found the problem during the 4600 mile check. He said the oil was just beginning to seep on the shaft, and it was ok to ride. He ordered the repair parts and scheduled the fix for the following week. The repair process is involved, and...

    cut holes in windshield

Sorry, Have't got pictures as of now. It was really not difficult once I figured out the dremel tool just melts the plastic and seals the cut closed. I have a speed control on the dremel, but the sabre saw just worked great. The install took about two hours.

    Sore Wrist...due to throttling?

Hmmm, I've got a V-Rod and I don't know that it's faster in the lower RPM range. I have a cramp busters on all three of my bikes. The Triumph and V-Rod still give me aches in my right wrist, so they are employed for shorter rides. My LTD has cruise but the cramp buster is still useful around...

    cut holes in windshield

I installed a Goldwing vent in my windshield. I used a 1/2 inch drill bit in the corners and did the cut out with a sabre saw equipped with a plastic cutting blade. Worked very well. Be sure to cover the area you're cutting with masking tape on both sides of the windshield. Don't worry if you...

    Turtle Wax Ice

I've been using the liquid on all my vehicles for a few years. The stuff is really impressive, as stated before, works on the black plastic well. Haven't used it on the windshield or seat.

Are there any a/mkt vented windshields out there for the RT's?

Installed a goldwing vent on my stock windshield yesterday. I'll try it out today. The install wasn't difficult, but I was aprehensive of making the first cut. I also shortened the windshield by 2".

    Offical Owners Event Decal

I don't care for stickers on any of my cars or bikes. I put mine on the inside of the frunk lid. Another option may be on the lower part of the windshield.

    Two wheels or three wheels?

I have an 09 Triumph Bonneville for solo riding, it's light with mid controls and plenty of power. I had to lower it and had custom seat work done to get me closer to the ground, my legs are short, having a 28 inch inseam. Love the Spyder for 2 up riding.

Is there a Windshield Edging that would channel water to the sides?

Check on line with J&P Cycles or Dennis Kirk. I know I've seen a device that snaps on across the top of the windshield and deflects the wind in a higher pattern, it's shaped like a rear spoiler on a car. You might try searching "motorcycle windshield wind deflector" or something like that.

    Traffic Light Question For Motorcycles

It's not your imagination, happens to me often. Traffic light sensors are often not triggered by motorcrcles and Spyders. Some riders attach rare earth magnets in the bottom of the motorcycle frames to help trigger the sensors in the road. In North Carolina, motorcycle riders are required to...
