• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    New Fuse Panel Location

Thanks!! Randy, I appreciate your reply. The more I thought about it, the more I confirmed in my mind I may be able to just splice into the existing lighting circuits to add the few LED's that I was thinking about. However, when I decide to add devices that will be consuming more power, I...

    New Fuse Panel Location

LED current draw Blue, Great write up. Would you happen to have an idea of the current draw on the LED accessories listed on my previous post? I know the LED's don't consume much but it would be good to know so I could properly size the fuse or fuses. I'm thinking I might be able to power the...

    New Fuse Panel Location

Nice installation!! That is a nice clean installation. I've been thinking about about adding some bright sides, third tail light, and mud flap LED sets. and LED strips on the front fenders and was wondering if I needed to go with the fuse panel. Is the fuse panel self fabricated or did you find...

    fromnt tire change to chrome

Chrome Shop Let me get with my street rod friends and I should be able to come up with the name and address. I think the plating option may be your best bet. Hang in there and I'll get back to you when I get the information. I was just sort of joking about the yellow powder coat, but a bright...

    fromnt tire change to chrome

Plating possibility Rich, I heard there is a plating shop in Concord, NC that may be able to chrome plate your wheels. Another option may be to powder coat your wheels a complimentary color to your Spyder. Yellow would really make it stand out.

    Finally took delivery

Thanks for the welcome. I had my 600 mile service done and whenever the weather cooperates we're on the road. The dreaded vibration monster attacked during the first day of ryding, but I have to thank the technicians at RPM for resolving that issue during the 600 mile service (slight alignment...

    Battery Cover

I was interested in connecting my Battery Tender "quick disconnect" to the the battery terminals. Needless to say I was unable to accomplish this minor chore on the Spyder even after trying to remove much body work. I've concluded this machine is not friendly to the shade tree mechanic. I've...

    Automatic Radio Volume Control

Thanks for the input. I have the 2012 RT manual open to page 36 and it states states: " This is controlled by the automatic volume control setting in the Prefences Screen". I can't get it to come to the ON position. What do I need to do to to turn it on? What am I missing? Could I be in the...

    New panel certificate..

I got my 600 mile service done last week. The Filter Cover Kit was installed and I was asked for the voucher when I went to pick up my machine. I didn't have a voucher and it didn't seem to be an issue. If the dealer needs the voucher for reimbursement, I'll gladly hand it over after I've...

    License Plate Helmet Locks

Velcro Option Both of our helmets fit into the frunk along with gloves and kevlar shirts. If we need to make an additional stop with the frunk full of groceries, I use velcro loops that are used to secure power cords etc. as an extension and use the factory hooks under the seat. It works well...

    Todays Ride

Did anyone return home Via Hwy. 89? Last year, the wife and I made the trip to Mt Airy North on 601, then we picked up 89 in Mt Airy and rode back the long way eventually connecting with 311 then 52 in Winston/Salem. Hwy. 89 is impressively twisty. Unfortunately we rode the V-Rod and were...

    RT Vibration continues

I've got it too I've had the Spyder for about three weeks now...love it, but I have the dreaded vibration. The vibration starts at about 5200 RPM's in any gear and continues until about 5800 RPM's. Pretty annoying, I've been riding for 50 years and this is the most costly motor cycle like...
