• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Scams...Scams...and More Scams!!!

Dealerships? Are there any dealerships in your area ? I know you may pay a little more ( sometimes) at a dealership but likely the machine has been checked out and serviced properly. Buying private there is no recourse if anything is wrong with it plus unless you are VERY mechanically inclined...

    Well, I'm Selling My Spyder

Harley to be sure? Ive been on two charity runs in the last couple years , both I can't bring myself to attend again because they refuse to set up a chase vehicle or service vehicle to deal with breakdowns , and both turned into 12 hour days to do a 4 or 5 hour ride while we all waited on...

High RPM or 2 cylinder vs 3 cylinder

Soon for me I really enjoy my 2008 GS , I added the Yoshimura pipe which seems to improve power especially at lower rpm but is a little louder. Yes these engines need to run faster than a lot of bikes I've had , but I drive it how the engine works the best ( like anything I've driven) That...

A lot to learn. Thinking about shopping for a Spyder.

Go for it Your sled experience will help . I rode bikes and snowmobiles since being a young lad and loved both . I was away from the motorcycle world for 15 years almost because my hearing and balance went .... Then along came a Spyder . You may want to think about taking a Spyder training...

    Gives new meaning to H

Needs to change With distracted driving adding to the danger on the roads as well as a tendency to normalize driving while high these days , I think laws need to evolve to reflect the seriousness of the behaviour . A few months back I was rear ended by a similar Jeep but luckily was in my full...

I Received An E-Mail From BRP Today

Similar crap here I get emails to enter a "contest " to win a new F3 .... Just fill in your info and enter , but when you press enter it says " a dealer close to you will call you shortly about ordering a new Spyder!" Or something to that effect :banghead::banghead:

Just bought a 2017 f3-t and I'm a new can am Rider looking for advice

Good advice above as always All I would add is ... Don't overthink , just enjoy ... Give the new style of machine some time because like me some people on the first Ryde think it may have been a mistake , but trust me it wasn't :2thumbs::2thumbs:

I am sooooo not pleased....I know whine whine whine

Fingers crossed All snow gone here near Toronto , we hit an all time high for a day in February on Thursday ( approx 18 degrees C) .. Never made it home from work in time to go for a Ryde , hopefully this warm trend continues and we get an early start again this year

New rider intro, questions and comments

A little time Keep Ryding and most " little annoyances" will soon be a distant memory . There are so many people on this site with thousands of miles experience and multiple Spyder purchases under their belt , they have many ways to personalize every possible whim or concern ... And maybe even...

    Progressive Insurance

That one time Absolutely , unfortunately that was the one time I didn't use a broker ... They were recommended by a business associate for a commercial policy , it was a tough and expensive lesson :gaah::gaah:

    Progressive Insurance

What Bob said :agree: I purchased some "cheap " insurance about 15 years ago , someone ran into me .... It turned into a nightmare trying to process a claim . I always use my broker now and go with who they recommend

    New Rider and Purchase

Yep Spyders are a different feel than 2 wheels . Take it easy for a while , corner a little slower than usual . With a few Rydes under your belt things start to become a lot more fun , once you get used to not being able to lean the bike to corner ... Kinda like half bike half snowmobile . You...

    Newbie Spyder Buyer

Good choice its easy for some to say go for the new 1330 engine ... But who's paying for it ? That's a good deal on that RS for up here if it is in good shape . I've been pricing RT,s and F3's and $20,000 is minimum for a well used one with the 1330 right now . I will upgrade to the triple...

Lost a panel during a ryde.

Happened to me The first time I removed the lower left panel on my GS to check the oil and replaced it I obviously didn't have the pins hooked back in all the way . I had a gentleman in a car tell me at a stoplight " something fell off your bike back there a bit" luckily no one ran it over but...

    limp mode

Oil sender maybe? Others here would know more about your year of Spyder and if the oil pressure switch has been an issue . I have a 2008 GS and mine went into Limp mode a year ago and wouldn't go out of it . Ended up being a faulty oil pressure sensor that cost $80 installed . If you can't...
