• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

RS rider takes the F3 for a demo ride.

Rob, I'm not saying everyone will enjoy the F3 and you absolutely should only buy what you enjoy. What I meant to clarify is that your experience was with the bars and pegs in only one of their potential positions. With the pegs moved all the way in (towards the rider) the position is much...

RS rider takes the F3 for a demo ride.

I own an F3 (actually the wife does), the adjustment is easy and shouldn't take anyone more than about 15 minutes from beginning to end after the second time you do it. I have changed my wife's pegs and bars three times and anyone can do it and do it quickly and easily. What about the swap do...

RS rider takes the F3 for a demo ride.

Did the dealer have one set up with the U-fit system mounted? While the controls are definitely 'forward' mounted, the U-fit allows the pegs to be moved back substantially, resulting in a more 'standard' bike position. To each their own, but I would encourage those considering one to try it at a...

Through bolted Ram ball on bar?

I'm going to have the time next week to pull a bolt and see if I can make it work. If not, the plasma cutter and welder may need to come out.:yikes::yikes::shocked:

Through bolted Ram ball on bar?

I had no issue finding a place to mount a couple RAM balls on my RT-S, but the wife's F3s is a different story. I looked through several pages of F3 posts and tried the search function but the site won't let me search RAM because it is too short a word, so I appeal to the hive mind for some help...

Considering purchasing Spyder ST with no experience_need encouragement

I rode motorcycles for 26 years before I bought my Spyder. As was suggested above, I took it slow on local roads and worked my way up to busier/faster roads. You might be surprised at how far and fast you can go without taking the highway. If you don't want to go on long tours, you can go...

    New Ryder 2 questions

I have no advice on the parts, but look up CyncySpyder on the dog issue. He takes his dog (Teddy) everywhere on his :ani29:. You can reach his profile here: http://www.spyderlovers.com/forums/member.php?5338-CyncySpyder Congrats on the Ryde. Enjoy.

    Spyder Sightings

Colorado Springs Saw a blue RT pulling a gray trailer, coming out of the Wal Mart / Home Depot parking lot onto Woodmen road Westbound in Colorado Springs yesterday. The wife and I were in the cage and headed the opposite direction (with pizza though). My wife did point out to me that we...

    Can-Am in Household Goods Shipment?

Here's my 2 cents. I have had 6 bikes moved by professional moving companies, courtesy of the American taxpayers. I had one move where 1 bike got scratched and another had damage to the luggage rack (they botched the entire job on that move and I had a 12k damage settlement). My largest bike...

Has the nanny learned to play nice with LEDs on the 2015?

Bob, that is the procedure I followed after installation. The problem is that the recalibration doesn't stick. It stays calibrated for one use of he signals and then goes back to the hyper flash the next time you use the signal. I presume this is because the resistance is so far out of spec...

Has the nanny learned to play nice with LEDs on the 2015?

I tried to embed the video but couldn't make it work. If a mod or someone else wants to do so, please do.

Has the nanny learned to play nice with LEDs on the 2015?

Nanny doesn't play nice but she tolerates them Today I installed two LED turn signal bulbs in my 2015 RT-S. These are the ones I got: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00XV4W686?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s00 They have the correct base and plug right in without fuss. As...

Has the nanny learned to play nice with LEDs on the 2015?

Thanks. I appreciate your post but I have a bone to pick with videos like this. The guy may very well be an excellent Spyder tech, but his arrogant, know it all, paternalistic approach doesn't help. Rather than offer an explanation of why there was a problem with the top trunk LED and there...

Has the nanny learned to play nice with LEDs on the 2015?

Thank you for the suggestion, but the 2015 RT-S does not have mudflaps. I believe that is only on the base model RT without the new style fenders with the raised portion in the middle. That said, there is a similar reflector that is oriented vertically rather than horizontally. Tricled and...

Has the nanny learned to play nice with LEDs on the 2015?

BINGO!!! That's exactly what I want to do. Thanks! I will be giving it a try as soon as I can find some suitable replacement bulbs. I have read that the turn signal bulbs on the RT have an odd pin arrangement. I actually might just try to cleanly replace the bulbs with Custom Dynamics...

Has the nanny learned to play nice with LEDs on the 2015?

While I'm relatively happy with the brightness of the LED brake light on the 2015 RT, the turn signals leave a bit to be desired. My wife, who i generally anti-farkle, even said I should upgrade/augment the rear turn signals. I have searched through a bunch of threads trying to find out if...

    Spyder Sightings

CO Springs to Cripple Creek and Back Saw a few yesterday but too busy having fun and checking my 6 to verify the wife was doing well on her F3 to recall details. We went out to Cripple Creek, CO from Colorado Springs. Didn't realize Donkey Derby Days was going on so it was an added treat...

    $3000 Rebate on the RT-S

Got a call from my dealership today. I am taking delivery of my RT-S this afternoon. They told me that Can Am sent out an email this morning upping the existing $1000 rebate on 2015 RT-S to $3000. Because of this, my purchase price will be 2k less than we had negotiated. Needless to say...

Moto-Blog / Vblog: Biggest fear is being rear ended. What would you do?

Well, I'm currently taking the wife's suggestions on where she might want it on her F3s, but as for my RT-S, well that will have to wait until I actually take delivery of it on Thursday. If all else fails though, The license plate mount works on everything. The attached picture is the...
