• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I would be interested if get enough interest. Nice design, and while I am a Red Sox fan by birth and a Royals fan by choice, I will always support the Empire State!

    Tire pressure important!

:agree: I usually check my tire pressure two or three times a week and always in the morning after the bike has set all night.

For a new 2014 RSS that sounds like a very very good price and I doubt that you will find something that beats it.

Glad to hear your report and very happy for all those effected by "former" heat issue. Enjoy your riding season, which I assume in Texas never ends, lol!

Could using a car tire void your warrenty?!

I didn't say anything about a particular brand. However, it seems to me that a car tire mounted on a vehicle on which the vehicle manufacturer calls for a motorcycle tire could be reasonably argued as operator negligence in court. I am not suggesting someone shouldn't put a car tire on if...

Received today mailer from BRP on Freedom Trailers

I wondered the same thing. The only difference that I could find in the catalog was the two tone paint, carpeted liner, and a chrome trim package.

Could using a car tire void your warrenty?!

I think the car versus motorcycle tire issue would be more associated with a personal injury claim. Any lawyer worth his or her salt might potentially point to the presence of a (supposed) incorrect tire on the vehicle as proximate cause of an accident. Just saying...

Need your advice....is it a good deal

That sounds like a good deal to me. I agree with others that an inspection by a dealer that you trust would reduce risk. If you decide to pass on the bike, then let the rest of us know where it can be found, lol!

Saving up, leaving the Guzzi. Pending newbie.

Welcome! Sounds like you are a kindred spirit to many of us. My two cents-Life is short and none of us know what tomorrow will bring so I say get the Spyder as soon as possible!

    Dry Club or Not?

:agree:. It is likely that many of these folk also ride wearing little to no protective gear but think that is a perfectly safe and OK personal decision that doesn't potentially impact other drivers. I have even seen posts recently about why t-shirts, Bermuda shorts and tennis shoes are...

    Shocks

Based on the online product information for the Elka Stage 1 and the BRP Fox Adjustable Front Shock Kit, I do not see any specific performance advantage between the two shocks. However, the Elkas are more expensive. While it is obvious that Elkas are popular among several Spyder owners that...

    Shocks

Thanks for asking this question- I am interested in the results as I am considering an upgrade as well. Given what I have read on the forum, I am inclined to go with Fox. I am not interested in yearly maintenance requirements which seem to be the case for the Elkas.
