• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

HOLY COW! If you have Tri-Axis handlebars check this from time to time!

Good warning! Your video highlighted the problem very well! It made me NOT want a tri-axis, lol!

Reasonable price for dealer install of Bluetooth

The prices that your dealer quoted you sound about right to me. I think people need to make a value decision for themselves on the relative value of technician time and labor and decide what is right for them. For me, technician experience and expertise is worth the price as well as the price...

    What with this code???

I occasionally received a DESS code on my 2014 RT Limited but always with the same key. When the I talked to the dealership about this when scheduling my 3000 mile service recently, they asked me to bring in both keys to get re-programmed during the service this past weekend.

    Newbe questions

There is a lot of mis-information out there. However, you have come to the right forum for informed experience. The heat problems associated with model year 2013 are for the RT models, not the ST. The Bajaron is a good investment but I also think you need to gain Spyder seat time and miles...

    RT

Personally, I prefer to take back roads everywhere! However, on the few occasions that I was forced by route selection to get on the Interstate, my 2014 RT was comfortably able to stay with traffic at sustained speeds 75-80.

    hard steering

It may be too simplistic a question, and I dont mean to offend you, but did you check theair pressure in the tires? Poor tire pressure can dramatically affect handling.

    Back In The Saddle

Glad you are back in the saddle! Enjoy your ryding season but I would highly recommend that you check the air pressure BEFORE you ryde EVERY time. T-CLOCS! I can't even imagine the handling of a bike at 50% pressure in all tires! Be safe!

    Sway bar

I have had a 2014 RT for about one year and have driven over 2800 miles with the stock bar. I think my Spyder handles extremely well even with two up. I have seen many recommendations on previous post (as a forum lurker, lol) to new owners to simply purchase the bar as a "must have"safety item...

    HEATED.....

I have a 2014 RT Se6 which is essentially the same Spyder and I do not have a plug. There is a power outlet in the rear storage compartment but I believe that this is for charging an IPod or other type device while connected to the audio system.

Really need your input!! Leangth of 2x10 ramps to use?

I would be concerned about the weight of the bike snapping the boards , especially at the midpoint. Others may have personal experience and can confirm or deny whether they will work. If you have a better option I would use it. Good luck and congrats on your new ryde!

    I'm a happy bunny.....
