• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

First road trip on our new Spyder.

Hi folks. Well, our Spyder is a couple of months old now. I've pretty much got it set up the way I want it (backrest, armrests, cupholder, windshield and power ports/cell phone holder). We decided to go for our first overnight road trip. We rode to Helen, in the north Georgia mountains to...

    Windshield advice

Well folks, the new windshield finally arrived. We decided to go with the Madstad 18" (pictured here). After riding with it for a few days I decided it might be a bit too tall... I gave them a call and swapped it out for the 16" and it's perfect! Can't feel any buffeting at all, I can hear it in...

    Driver's Course Promo

My wife and I took the course in early September, she is a years-long experienced 2 wheeler and I was only good at falling off a regular two wheel motorcycle:yikes: We took the course to see if we liked the Spyder and it was an EXCELLENT tool for that. In Georgia it is a licence waiver class and...

    Windshield advice

Hi folks, Well, after much research we decided to go with the Madstad 18" clear windshield. Mostly because of the generous return policy and the 100% satisfaction guarantee. Basically, I confirmed with them, if we're not happy with that I can return for 30 days so I've got nothing to lose...

    Windshield advice

Thanks for that suggestion. I'd looked into that but didn't see one offered for the F3S. Am I missing something somewhere?

Thanks for that, Do you get any air flow for cooling behind it? How about the vacuum zone that may or may not be there?

    Windshield advice

Hi folks... Well, we've got our driver and passenger backrests installed on our new F3S and also the passenger armrests (went with the factory BRP stuff) and now its windshield time. I've been looking at the F4 customs and also the Madstadt windshields and I like them both. I'm interested in...

    a GREAT story...

That's a great story! So glad it worked out for you! I have to be honest, WAY too few people tell a tale like this. I spent 26 years as a master Chevrolet technician and now have moved on to the role of automotive instructor. In those 26 years I could count on 1 hand the amount of people who...

Looking for confidence in the curves...

Thanks again folks, Going to ride to work this morning and try again on the road that unnerved me so badly the other day. We'll see how that goes... My wife and both took the CanAm rider education course around a month or so I guess. It was a great class but was really only for low speed stuff...

Looking for confidence in the curves...

Hi folks, Thanks so much for all the replies and advice! So, I rode home last night, making sure to at least weight the outside pegs for sure. Tried my best to over-exaggerate the lean and line up my head with the inside arm and it did feel much better. It felt stable at least. I'm not really...

Looking for confidence in the curves...

Thanks so much for the info so far folks. I did take the MSF basic rider course on the Spyder a few weekends ago but, of course, that was all low-speed riding. Up to now, no one has ever offered any really specific instruction on body placement (thanks SpyderAnn and others). I'll give this a...

Looking for confidence in the curves...

Hi folks, Well, its been a week or so with the new F3S and I've ridden it around 150 miles or so. Haven't had it on the interstate yet but I've briefly had it up to 65 MPH and, other than the wind (no windshield) I'm getting more and more used to traveling at speed. What'e bothering me is the...

What is my best option for a passenger backrest?

Bob, Are these actual Can Am products? Do you have a link?

What is my best option for a passenger backrest?

Thanks for the input so far folks, keep the ideas coming because this sure is confusing... Rocketman, is the Lamonster backrest sturdy given the fact that it only has the center support? I'd think a dual-post system like the Smooth-spyder would be more sturdy.

Windshield. F4 or Madstad? Vent or not?

Watching this thread with interest as a windshield will be our next upgrade after we get the passenger backrest issue sorted out.

What is my best option for a passenger backrest?

Hi folks, Picked up our new 2018 F3S last weekend and so far we're LOVING it! Still getting comfortable riding and we're getting ready to add a few things. First will be a backrest for the passenger. I've looked at a few and can't seem to figure out what would be best and provide the most...

    Brand new Spyder owner

Thanks for all the kind words folks! Unfortunately the only picture I've got so far is from the showroom... hopefully I'm attaching it correctly. Now I'm looking for accessories. Going to want to add a passenger backrest, cellphone mount and some sort of bar-mounted cupholder for when my wife...
