• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Suggestions for my trip

Sounds Like a Plan Sounds like you've got the right idea. If time is not an issue I'd avoid big towns and stick to "off the beaten path". In Texas we have a couple of TV shows "Texas Country Reporter" and "The Texas Bucket List" if the other states have something similar you can learn about...

How old is too old to get started riding a Spyder

Good Choice I'm mid 60's and rode since I was fourteen. I would recommend you sign up for a three day riding course. I think Spyder has a promo code for a discount. You will learn a lot about the bike and yourself. Consider the class a three day test drive.

    HAND BRAKE

That's a definate "WANT TO HAVE" I've ridden two wheelers for fifty years. Hand brake is mandatory. I don't like the foot position on the RT. If I can add a HB that might steer me back to the RT. BTW, I'm experimenting with a remote lapel mic for my Go Pro Hero5. The chord is like twenty...

    BRP Announcement soon

I DON'T UNDERSTAND If the RT is the "flagship" model, why isn't it the one with the most adjustments to fit the rider. The RT is only comfortable if you're under 6' tall or you like sitting like a jockey, which may be great if you're 25 years old.

    INTERESTING.....

Thanks for the heads up Well, now I know when the 18's will be announced. I have a 2015 Harley Ultra Ltd. I want to keep it and buy the Spyder but a higher authority (wife of 35 1/2 yrs) says I can't keep both. I'm hoping to win the lottery.

    Buying decisions

Props to MR Cognac You've lived a full life sir. In regards to the CB or Bluetooth I'd go the Sena 20s. CB radios are nice if they work properly and if there isn't constant chatter on every channel and if somebody doesn't "key up" over you because the system they have isn't quite legal.

Looking for some advice... contemplating purchase of a Spyder:

RT vs F 3 I'm about 12 years your junior but feel exactly the same way you do about the sitting position of the RT. I am taking a three day rider course in early July. After that I'll probably firm up my decision. The RT is pretty and costs 2,000 more than the F 3. the F 3 has adjustable...

    INTERESTING.....

Whose the best Spyder Dealer in or close to Texas I''m thinking hard about the F3 T. Been to a couple of local shops within ten miles of home. I'm not worried about buying the bike from any authorized dealer. I'm more concerned with who has the most knowledgeable service techs and the best...

Well...I did it!!!! Bought a Spyder

F3-T Great news. I am looking to buy and thought the RT was for me but I'm 6'3. Did not like the foot and leg positioning. Sat on a F3 and changed my mind. Is the F3-T a touring model like the RT?
