• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Heat problems with the 2013 RT Spyder

HEAT PROBLEMS I also have a 13 rtl. I took the bike in for the recall for the air scoops to be put on. I did not really have a problem with a heat built up before that. But, after I crawled under the bike, I saw an oval hole cut out of the bottom plastic covering. I figured that this...

What is the Average Age of Spyder Owners? - 2nd Edition

GETTING BETTER! Right you are! I am 74 and enjoying every minute of my Spyder. I wish the dream machine came earlier in my life! We lost a Spyder rider who was in his early 80's last year and he was a real gentleman who loved riding into the sunset. Keep enjoying and do what ever you want...

New to the Site and Seeking Advise

TO YOUR LIKING The previous posts give very good input on the model of bike you would like to own. Like it was said, it depends on where you ride, if you have a rider with you and comfort. At my age, the RTL model fits my needs. I like to tour the back roads and the country side but yet it...

    OUT OF HIBERNATION

FARKLES Yep, the one thing about winter and the hybernation of the spyder, the fun is finding new things. So far, I have bought the inflatable cushion which I will only use on real long trips. A pair of the wide angle 2" round mirrors to attach to the regular mirrors. A new spyder jacket...

    Calling all Newbies

RIDING EXPERIENCE Since I bought my 13 RTL about this time last year, I never looked back. No one is a newbie once they get on the road and enjoy the rides. I certainly have and since I first started riding only a few years ago and being 74, I never regretted it. I am along with our Rusty...

Thinking of buying a Spyder RT-S or Limited

OIL CHANGE After I broke in my 13 RTL, I did my own oil change. Not hard at all. Check YouTube on the way how to do it. I saved a bundle plus doing it myself, I knew it was done correctly. Always the fear that the dealer would screw it up. Then again, its my baby and I take care of my baby.

AIR HORN I also have a 13 RTL and have been considering on getting an air horn. Did the air horn fit in the same position as the oem part? Did you have to modify anything to make it fit? Approx. how long did it take to do the installation. Thanks for any input.

    BAJARON SWAY BAR AND LINKS

This may have been a topic already but forgive me for asking again. I have a 2013 RTL and wondering if it is worth it. What advantage does it have? Will it really improve the ride? So far, I have not encountered any problems without having it. Is it a fairly easy do it yourself...
