• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    iPad issue on forum

Yep, seems like I cleaned up cookies, as some were bothersome. I do that from time to time, and yikes...here came Tapatalk. I'll have our IT guy look at it today. Thanks for the link.

    iPad issue on forum

Yesterday I logged on from my iPad which I often do. And this blue box pops up in the middle of the screen. It says: "http:SpyderLovers.com This forum has an app for iPad. Click OK to learn about Tapatalk" The "Cancel or OK" box is below. Ive never seen this before...

    Just ordered my RT622

I agree with others. Have the dealer that sold the trailer install it. They likely won't charge anything extra. My dealer included it with the purchase. By the way.......nice color!

    RT vs RS

I personally had not even given the Spyder a second look until the RT was introduced. Liked the look of the RS, but that where it ended for me. The riding position simply does not appeal to me. I'm not an aggressive rider, and been riding decked out touring bikes for 15 years. Once the Spyders...

    16 National Parks – 8000+ Miles – 30 Days

Wow, an excellent adventure. I would love to do something like this, but have to run the business still :sour:. I did do a shorter version a few years ago in 2 weeks. 5800 miles on a GL1800 out west to a few of our National Park Treasures. Some great riding out there. That was too many miles in...

Need to select new helmets - any suggestions/recommendations?

:agree: Ordered 2 from Cowtown while I was there to pick up my RT Ltd. Have not got them yet, but Len gave me a Fulmer loaner, in a different color to use with the BRP headsets, and I like the helmet. Love that hidden sun shade. Very reasonable price. However, they are not Snell Approved, just DOT.

RT Fog light: Useful or looks only ?

On my RT-Ltd, they appear to only be for appearance. Both for the bike to look good, and for other motorists to see. As far as usefulness while riding.....nothing.

General question about difference between SE5 and SM5

The folks at Lexington Motorsports seem to be OK. I test drove a Spyder there, got the price, and set out to see if that was what I would have to pay (Basically quoted MSRP plus shipping, set up charges). That seemed too high. I also spoke to the dealer in Ashland, KY, and they gave me a good...

How can you answer a phone on RT LTD?

Not offended at all. Just one of those funny typos. I find myself doing that on my iPhone when it does auto spell. Some like these can bring quite a laugh. I was in my office, and laughed out loud when I re-read it.

    Spyder's Power.....Can I keep up?

Keeping up with sport bikes...no thanks. If they ride aggressive (The Zip and Splat's), my Spyder does not dance at that party. (Some here may?) But riding with most other bikers, including sport bikes, cruisers, touring is a . I'm new to the Spyder, and have never rode aggressively as...

How can you answer a phone on RT LTD?

Harry, Thanks for this excellent info. I do have the CB and Entertainment Harness installed. I don't believe I have the Cellphone interface kit # 219400390. When I look at this, it says it is tucked away under the vehicle, or something like that. Is this unit easy to install, or does it require...

How can you answer a phone on RT LTD?

I just knew all you experts would know exactly what was going on. I did buy some interface cable or something of that nature. About $100 I recall. I guess I need another. Thanks for your help.

How can you answer a phone on RT LTD?

I know I may get some grief from this, and OK.......I may deserve it. Many say you ride to get away from the phone, and I agree with that. But, I've got all this nice technology on my bike. Navigation, BRP CB, Intercom, BRP helmet sound, etc. and I want to utilize it. The Spyder has the iPod...

    gas mileage

I have about the same mileage and had my first service at 670 miles. So far, with mixed driving I've averaged 26-31 MPG. Not real impressed with the MPG, but love the bike. I would think as far as break in goes, it's main break in is done. But mileage may still improve some.
