• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    SE5 Question

I would think you would do fine. With the thumb only up shift, and auto downshifting, that a doable set up. Sometimes you might want to reach under with your thumb for a earlier downshift, but that is not always needed, and should be no problem. Get back in the saddle my friend!

    600 Maintenance?

Uh, Oh. I guess I'll plan to keep going to the dealer. Seems crazy to make an oil change so complicated, needing to remove so much Tupperware and all. I always changed the oil and diff. Fluid on my Goldwing. Was easy. I may attempt it once, but from what I've read on the site, it seems a bit...

First Self Inflicted Farkle......... Bling With a Purpose

One of the first things I noticed when I took delivery of my RT-Ltd last week, was that the tail/brake lights were not high enough to garner attention from my fellow 4 wheeled friends, especially those "ying yangs" texting and playing on their smart phones while driving (The phones may be smart...

    600 Maintenance?

Just had my 600 mile service. Cost was $265. I thought it was high, but was there only 2 hours, and all was well. It was worth the peace of mind. However, I will start changing my own oil, and just have any major services done at the dealer.

    ***WARNING LOOK-OUT FOR ROAD GATORS***

A great post, and reminder for us all! All of us that ride on highways will experience these asphalt monsters. Best advise you gave is to back off from following trucks, and for that matter all vehicles on interstates. You need room to see ahead, to safely swerve and avoid these at all costs...

    Death by Spyder !!!

Another good outcome of a Spyder vs. Kamikaze Wild Creature! Glad your OK. These possums all need to be eradicated, but by 4 wheelers is highly preferred.

    DEER!!!!

Glad to know you are OK. I think these Spyders will be much better in those situations than the 2 wheelers. I had about 170 miles on mine when 10 deer decided to jump out and leap 1 after the other right in front of me on a back road in Southern Illinois the day I picked up my Spyder at...

Spyder RT Passenger Armrest sales ends tonight!

My wife likes hers. Compared the the Kuryakyn's she's traveled 20K miles with, she liked the comfort of the Diamond R's better. But they are not for any weight application. Looks are OK, but wish they had a matching Tan for the RT LTD.

block off plate: Is it just me?

Lots of +and- about the block off plates. I'm new here, but with some temps in the 90's, I've noticed the hot air issue, but mostly just when wearing shorts. With jeans and simply tennis shoes, I've not had much issue. I like the idea, but concerned with blocking any air flow from the cooling...

    Dumb question from a newbie

:agree:Eagle One or Mequires detailers are great touch up products. After a good wax, a quick spray and wipe brings the entire bike back to "Bling" in less than 5 minutes when dirty, or bugged out. Love the stuff.

    Did you read

Can't even fathom that. We have a talk show host here that was talking about how some people that do really stupid things and get killed doing them (like this guy, and people that are texting and walk into an oncoming car, etc.) is natures way of cleaning up the gene pool. Although...

    Is it worth the trip?

I'd say it would be worth it. The folks at Cowtown are great, and Cuba is an "All Americana Icon" town in my opinion. Great folks there, good BBQ:bbq:, and some fun attractions (Store at the Rocking Chair was fun, especially those "samples"!). My first visit last week will not be my...

3 States Down maybe 4 is DC a state?

I say, count DC as a state............. A state of disarray, that is. :gaah: You deserve lots of credit for driving around there. I'm new to the Spyder, so small accomplishments mean allot to me as well!

(Another) THANK GOD FOR 3 WHEELS

Really glad to be hearing this from you, alive and well. I truly believe that the most dangerous situation for all of us cage free drivers is the people yacking, searching, scrolling and playing with these cell phones while driving. Just look next to you, or around you while riding. Seems...
