• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Vredestein Quatrac 5

Generally speaking, a higher speed rating means a stiffer sidewall.

If you want, I'll give them your number next time they call. Lol

    Help with buying?

Just a heads up on imotorsportsinc - they have a used Spyder listed on their page with a "click for price" on it, where they ask for your phone number and email. I've received 4 calls and 3 emails in the last two hours and still haven't been given a price, even though I've asked via email and...

Anyone else ever heard of using the Front cargo as an ice cooler?

I've got a Barrett .338 Lapua that's GREAT at putting holes in things...

Has anyone installed this homelink garage door remote?

I'll try to find my writeup on it on the bike board I posted it on. If you can solder, you can do it. If you can't solder, you can send it to me along with the button you want to use and tell me how long you want your wire from the opener to the button to be and I'll solder it for you and send...

Has anyone installed this homelink garage door remote?

I made my own for all my previous bikes. I just took a standard keychain remote and took the case off, then desoldered the button and attached 2 wires, then pulled the battery and soldered two wires onto that, added a voltage regulator, and tied to the bike battery. Front there I mounted a...

Do I need to change the Oil again so soon?

In the grand scheme of things, changing your oil is pretty cheap insurance. Just my $.02

Please educate me about tire sizes

https://tiresize.com/calculator/ Great source for sorting out outside diameter on your tires. Simple explanation: First number: the overall maximum width of the tire, in millimeters when mounted on a standard width (for specific tire size). This is not the width of the tread. Second number...

    recommendations for riding gear,

I don't ride without a helmet, gloves, jacket, and boots. Also, there are a lot of opinions on what brand is best - here's my take: try on a bunch of stuff and buy what you feel comfortable in. If it's not comfortable, you won't wear it. For me, I love the Alpine Stars gloves and won't buy...

    Rotella t6

Not trying to hijack here, but I ran Mobil diesel oil in my vtx and changed oil once a rear - I got smoother shifts and a much quieter engine. I had 76,000 miles on one of them with no issues when I sold it.

What would you choose? Spyder vs Ryker

I also looked at the Ryker, and while I love the concept, I felt like there should be circus music playing when I sit on them. I'm also 6'2" and couldn't get comfortable in it. The seat would have to go back a minimum of about 3" to work for me. That being said, they're still really cool bikes...

May have found a pretty good deal on F3S

That's the other problem - I absolutely hate the look of the tour pack on the back. Personal preference, but it is what it is.

May have found a pretty good deal on F3S

A dealership near me has a 2018 F3S with 0 miles for $13,900 - I've been going back and forth between the F3S (because I like the manual shift and the upgraded suspension) but also like the touring, because the bags, digital display, and ability to pull a trailer are nice as well. This F3S has...

    Spyder F3T Garage Door Opener

If that's a concern, you can still do this, just hide your switch somewhere. I hid my switch under the gas tank in my vtx.

    Spyder F3T Garage Door Opener

Awesome job and very clean execution. I did something similar on one of my previous bikes, but also ran power to the opener off of the battery on the bike. That way I never had to worry about a dead battery in the remote.
