• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Custom Dynamics Risers open bar end solution?

I'm beginning to plan the install a set of Custom Dynamics risers on a 2012 RSS. All seems fairly straight forward. I noticed there are no end plugs supplied for the hole in the original bar cut-off ends and the other end of the grip bars in the kit. Has anyone plugged the bar end openings? If...

    Well, Well, Well

I got mine a couple weeks ago about 2 months after purchase. Most of it went directly into the blue box. It seems to me it came shortly after completing the JDPower survey. Probably coincidence.

    Extra Helmet

I would choose a Medium helmet and a Bra, perhaps a 34C, just incase your trip includes bumpy roads ;)

    BRP Spyder Survey

Thanks. Saw that thread. I was interested to see if anyone completed a BRP product survey initiated by BRP for the Spyder. The one that was sent to be was a dealer focused survey. Does BRP issue product Customer Satisfaction surveys?

    BRP Spyder Survey

Oh I didn't find it in my search. I'll go hunting again. Thanks. Is the thread for a BRP product survey?

    BRP Spyder Survey

I finally got around to completing the JDPower BRP Sypder survey recently. I guess it was primarily focused at the dealer. As anyone had a recent opportunity to complete a BRP Sypder product Customer Sat survey? I did a search on this forum and did not see much chatter since 2011. I would like...

Saved by VSS - thank god for VSS!

I hope so. We got it for safe 2 up cruising. I have gone over and over the way I screwed up the corner and I'm sure I have learned something. We'll both be on it again today. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk - now Free

Saved by VSS - thank god for VSS!

My wife and I were towards the end of a long ride today when I entered a tight left hand corner way too hot. For some reason I was unable effectively steer and lean into the turn. Before I knew it I was at the shoulder's edge with the right front off the pavement into the gravel. At that point I...

    Finally Signed Up To SpyderLovers

Welcome. I'm new here as well. Not sure if you had motorbikes in the past but from my perspective I find Sypder rain ryding less stressful and can be quite fun if you stay dry. Torrential rain is not pleasing.

My new Spyder RS-S experience so far

Must have been one hell of a birthday.:D I'm thinking that I need to get a better seat. I sit forward and the inner thighs gets painful after about an hour. Not enough padding in the stock seat.

My new Spyder RS-S experience so far

So did I and I think I'm almost over it. You're cornering tip is a good one. I'll have to work on it. Mostly 3rd or 4th. I seem to feel it more through the pegs. It's a different frequency than the engine vibs. I'm usually above 4K RPM and don't have the same vib issue. Good pitch:thumbup...

    Do these actually work?

Dyna Beads I've used Dyna Beads to balance my motorcycle tires for the last several years. Never had any noticeable wheel oscillations or abnormal wear. On the down side, feels like it takes forever to feed them into the tire through the valve stem.

You're exactly right, that's why I don't bother attempting to read the road anymore:)

My new Spyder RS-S experience so far

I am the proud owner of a 2012 Can Am Red Sypder RS-S for the last couple of weeks. I have been riding motorbikes of all kinds for 45 years prior to the Spyder. The Spyder is a wonderful road machine that I love ryding. The SL forum is a great source of Spyder information and ryder experiences...

    Optimum Operating RPM

For nice leisurely acceleration I shift between 4-5K RPM and always cruise above 4K.

Help with posture on RSS please.

You're right about the exercise bike comment. Much more so than a motorbike. Especially the upper body. I don't think my inner thigh issue is muscle strain related. It seems to be a seat pressure point caused by more weight over less area in that position. Now that pressure point maybe made...

Help with posture on RSS please.

I just got a 2012 RSS and after about 600 miles of secondary highway twisties I find that I tend to sit forward to get to the right seating position. After about an hour in the stock saddle I find my upper inner thighs are very sore and I need to get off. I have a air hawk cushion that I tried...

CBC News - Winnipeg man parks 3 wheeled motor bike...

Mike Holmes bought one I remember reading somewhere that Mike Holmes, who is well known in Canada for his home improvement TV shows where he fixes shoddy workmanship and structure design issues for unfortunate home owners that hooked up with crooked contractors, rydes a spectacular Spyder LT...

CBC News - Winnipeg man parks 3 wheeled motor bike...

Was watching the local news tonight when a story was aired about a guy in Winnipeg who was complaining about safety and quality issues with his Spyder. I know that BRP has had several Spyder recalls over the years of production and to my knowledge all have been addressed. They also showed video...
