• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Really need your input!! Leangth of 2x10 ramps to use?

I have a 3" bolt.. ...that runs thru the board and prevents board from moving on the ramp. Plus I jack up the trailer at the hitch - vehicle and trailer - helps increase slope as well. I also have a 2x4 under ramp edge where it touches the ground where front wheels go to also increase angle...

    Soon to be new owner

I agree with all above, but... ...it is a standard transmission and not the 'semi-auto' model. I say that because when the wife and I test rode our first Spyders, she hated the standard transmission (she had two bikes prior with standard). My bother also test rode a standard transmission (he...

    starting problem

One thing you can check.. ...make sure transmission is in neutral. Manual shows how to do this - from under the bike. (once had to do this on my 2010 RT) Another suggestion for future use. When you shut the bike down, place transmission in Neutral first - set brake - turn key off. Now when...

    2012 RT SE5 Heat

Glad you found us here at SL.. Your issue is not the norm - three RT's in my family (2010,2011, 2012) and none have what you describe. There is a common heat issue though - right foot from the "Dragon's Breath" that is easily taken care of with a block off plate (2010-2012 models) - see...

    oil checking

Easy way to check oil level... ...well, it works for me. Using paper towel (Kitchen Paper in the UK) wipe the dip stick clean - reinsert/remove dip stick and lay it flat on the towel on a clean area - DO NOT move the dip stick, but rather just tilt it 90 degrees - you will see the wet spot...
