• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Painted my wheels and sprocket - what do you think?

I love the way the newer RT's have the matte black wheels especially the Pearl white ones. So until I can find one at the price I want to pay, I did a little painting of my own. Just seeing what you guys think... - - -

Does this look ok on my belt?

Thanks for the info. I check it regularly to make sure the belt is ok in relation to the rear flange. But I was down there painting the sprocket and noticed the side and it had me curious.

Does this look ok on my belt?

I have no clue. This is the original belt, it had 15,500 miles when I bought it. Didn't know that it could be backwards.

Does this look ok on my belt?

On the sprocket it's a credit card thickness away from the flange. On the drive pulley it's up against the outer flange, away from the motor. I saw a few places on the belt where it looks like you can see the cord in the belt. It's just a few small amount a few spots around.

LIMP MODE = Near Death Experience...

I had this happen 3 times in the same day trying to get back home from a trip. And Everytime we were on the highway at speed. Very scary when it happens.

Does this look ok on my belt?

Yes, it has some wear and you can tell that it's been rubbing on the outer drive pulley. Just didn't want to make sure I'm shortening the life on the belt.

Does this look ok on my belt?

[ATTACH=CONFIG]148904[/ATTACH Does this look normal on my belt? I've got 27,000 miles and my belt was aligned and tensioned last year by my dealer. The service manager says it's ok for the belt to run up against one of the flanges.

Here's where I attached my antenna. Works great and only time I have any problems is in really heavy tree cover.

Songs that are best for riding

My wife and I are a little younger than most Spyder riders we know, hope to not offend anyone  But anyway, we have XM that we listen to 100% of the time when we ride and we have a huge variety that we enjoy. Here's our 10 presets: 1: 50's 2: 60's 3: 80's 4: 90's 5: classic vinyl 6...

    SIRIUS XM RADIO

I've actually been in a few downpours with mine and haven't had any issues yet. But I remove the receiver and leave the mount when I'm parked anyway. It's always covered at home so it's not exposed if it does rain. Been working that way for 2 yrs now so I've gotten my money's worth out of it...

    SIRIUS XM RADIO

I have no problem with the output of mine using the aux input, It's actually louder. I mounted my antenna on the top of the rear trunk lid on the right side and only have issues if i'm in heavy tree cover. Other than that, it works great. Don't know why people mount there unit in the trunk, how...

Throttle body and sensor issue 2010 RT

Sorry you had no luck on getting BRP to help with the part. At least your dealer was nice enough to help with the labor rate. Plus I think I was charged 4 hrs labor so you're getting a good break from them. You better take some doughnuts in when picking up, lol. But seriously, BRP knows this was...

Throttle body and sensor issue 2010 RT

I don't know why they performed any of that work because about 98% of the time a P1614 code is the throttle body. It's the throttle position sensor not knowing how much throttle you're asking for. and the only way to replace the sensor, if i'm correct, is to replace the whole TB unit. You had...

Throttle body and sensor issue 2010 RT

Do not take this as their final answer. I stated that you needed to be persistent, very very persistent with BRP and your dealer. I called each one everyday for a week and even a few times the following week. State your concern with the safety issues of this problem and refuse to take that silly...

    Baffle for bypass?

I've got a vtwin bypass from JT and wondered if anyone had installed a baffle like they do on the 1330's? I've talked to Pitbull and they try a lot of baffles just to see how the bikes react but didn't really recommended it one way or the other. Only reason I ask is, does it hurt the vtwin...

Throttle body and sensor issue 2010 RT

I have a 2010 and mine did the same thing 3 different times within a hour. Always after shut down and restarting. It would go into limp mode and shut off in the middle of the road causing a very serious safety issue for me. Took it to the dealer and very sternly discussed my concerns about...

    Plug Wires

I went into my local Autozone to look at the plug wires to possibly make my own set. Found a set of Accel performance wires that had been opened, nothing missing in the box, kind of dusty. Asked how much they would discount them for. Took them home, reused the boots from the old wires and...
