• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    998 bypass from JT

He may. The 1330 pipe looks a lot easier and simpler to make so he could possibly be interested. Email and see what he thinks. He seems to really like to fabricate things and good at it too.

    998 bypass from JT

Should be listed on his website. Not sure if he has any ready. I just received it last wednesday and was installed yesterday. I sent him my feed back so he probably hasn't had time to make any yet.

    998 bypass from JT

I had been chatting with JT back and forth over the past month about a bypass pipe for the 998 RT's. He had actually been working on one but it had been put on a back shelf due to his other projects and job duties.... but my interests sparked him again and he diligently began to work on it. My...

Most benefit, muffler or cat bypass?

Well a decent exhaust, Two Bros or Yoshi, is going to be about the same as a cat bypass. So saying the money is equivalent.... Which would give the most benefit for the money? I wouldn't mind a little more sound but nothing loud. Plus if I could get a few more MPG's that would be good too

Most benefit, muffler or cat bypass?

I am wanting to do either a cat bypass or muffler on my RT. Not wanting to do anything crazy or loud.....just want to see the opinions on which one would give the most benefit and be worth the money. :dontknow:

    998cc VS 1330cc engines

I think that's mainly because of the computer limiting speed for safety reasons..... So I've been told. Plus I'm sure aerodynamics plays a part in their top end speed. Kind of like pushing a barn darn down the highway.

    998cc VS 1330cc engines

I test rode a 2016 RT at the end of last year, really wanting to upgrade from my 2010 RT. Mainly the fuel mileage is what got me interested in looking. But......I'm like you, the difference in the feel of the engine just wouldn't justify a higher payment and extended years. My 998 is pretty...

    First Idler Kit Failure?

I would speculate that every belt will have a different spec to where there's no vibration. It's just the matter of taking the time and a little trial and error. There's other bike out there with belt drives that have no vibrations. My Vulcan was so smooth and didn't need a thing.

    First Idler Kit Failure?

Why doesn't everyone just reduce the belt tension a little and not have to deal with the vibrations? The dealer aligned and tensioned my belt and I had tons of vibrations, the ISCI floorboards didn't make it ideal either since they have no rubber isolators. I reduced my tension and now..... No...

    First Idler Kit Failure?

This is exactly why I removed mine. It started off with a very faint whine but after putting a couple hundred miles on it, the whine got much louder. I would rather put up with the vibration than the whine. I have a BRP idler with 200 miles on it if anyone wants to take it off my hands.

What types of clocks for dash gauges?

I've done the voltmeter in the dash but want to add a clock to the other side. I'd like to see what you guys have used in place of the disconnected gauges in the dash.

    Did some shopping today

That's a great price for a 2014 RT around my area. Most of them here are around $18k. My local dealer has a 2015RT-S special edition for $24k. Wish I could find a 1330 for that price, I wouldn't bat an eye to bring it home.

Make sure I understand - Radio talk

Yeah, Kredab should be able to do that. I forgot about the newer models having extra connections. Us older RT's had to become a little more savvy to have more adaptability, lol. Man I wish mine had been that simple :gaah:

Make sure I understand - Radio talk

I tried a bluetooth device and connected the same way but my phone wouldn't stay connected due to the obstructions to the trunk (me, passenger, back of seat) So I just ran a cable and no more problems.

Make sure I understand - Radio talk

I went to Walmart and picked up a 6' auxiliary cable, plugged into the trunk with adapter, ran wire under panels to handlebars and connected a XM radio. Works great. Not sure if a bluetooth will work being in the trunk, maybe too much obstruction for phones to connect.
