• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Just Pre-Ordered my F3-S!

My wife and I both chose to buy manuals. We've both ridden SE5s several times, and just like working the clutch ourselves. It's more fun, and there's a more direct feeling of control. But we both came from two wheels; I know people who have flappy paddles and would never switch!

    2015 Can-Am Spyder Line Up

Hmmm, so...you're saying you don't like it??? ;) I am warming up to the F3 bit by bit, although I never thought the existing RS or RT were all that handsome to start with. The GS/RS body panels in particular look a bit too much like Chris Bangle's "flame surfacing" BMW cars (a design language...

    Just Pre-Ordered my F3-S!

I am thrilled to hear that the F3 appeals to someone who was otherwise able to resist the siren call of the Spyder lineup. I personally am exactly the opposite on the feet-forward ergonomic question, but that's not the point; they already made the RS-S for me. I think the F3 is a very smart move...

just got these pictures off of facebook from lamont

I am guessing the funky handlebar apparatus was part of development (to figure out where the handgrips should be positioned?), but I can't reach any logical conclusion why the switch pods, throttle and clutch would have to be so awkwardly vertical.

    Spyder F3 burnout on stage

I do believe that the F3 will see more in the way of serious customization, rather than the paint-and-farkles approach most current Spyders get.

    Spyder F3 burnout on stage

I'd call you a big, sucky, lucky duck...but I am guessing years of shedding sweat, blood, and tears onto various Spyders may have had something to do with your good fortune.

    VERY

On a cruiser, with your legs out in front of you, you can't lean forward into the wind. So you must constantly pull yourself forward against the wind blast. And without having your legs under you, all your weight is on your tailbone. I have nothing against cruisers for in-town, short-haul...

At first I thought the F3 was goofy looking, but from angles more like you'd see it from standing next to it, it's definitely growing on me. Unfortunately, the feet-forward seating is still a deal-breaker for me. Had one cruiser, won't go back.

Wow, what would those be? I can think of very few American sport bikes...Buell? EBR? Roehr? Motus? Or maybe stretch things and say Victory Judge or VRSCR Street Rod...???

    slingshot curious?????

If you believe that BRP is shoddy quality, talk to some Polaris snowmobile or watercraft owners before you make the switch. I'm not dogging Polaris because I personally think they're a great company, just saying that there are as many Polaris bashers as there are BRP bashers in the world.

    slingshot curious?????

Exactly my thoughts. As someone who's been a motorcyclist for 34 years, a Spyder fits with my mojo. It still has handlebars and a saddle; it's still a bike. Once you put me in a bucket seat with a steering wheel in front of me, that's a car driving experience. To me, Slingshot is just a...

Someone wanna tell me what the BRP people are thinking?

It seems all the other models are still available in solid colors, and I actually really like the two-tone RT Special Series colors, but it appears the RS-S is ONLY available with the super-bright multicolor schemes. People can like or dislike what they want, but I am sure glad I got a...

    VERY

The BRP guys at Spyderfest this year told me they didn't foresee putting the triple in the RS or ST anytime soon, so I had no expectations of that.

    Today's the Day

This press release went live on a couple of sites in the past hour or so. Does this read as though the rest of the line will be back basically unchanged? Valcourt, Québec, September 23, 2014 — BRP (TSX: DOO) presents the 2015 Can-Am Spyder F3 roadster, a major evolution in riding – in both...

Question for the "gun" people here

I have discovered that two different DAO pistols I own will FTE fairly regularly unless you give the trigger a firm, quick pull. Easing it back super slowly will cause stovepipes. A laser trainer doesn't get you in the habit of dealing with things like that.

Question for the "gun" people here

One more time: you DO NOT SEE A LASER DOT with a laser trainer. They train you to do exactly what Bob so passionately advocated. Most use an infrared beam you can't even see. You pull the trigger and instead of a round going off, the target system shows you where a bullet would have hit. It is...

Trading my Harley for an RSS

I have a 2013 RS-S, and I've had none of the seat cooking that RT riders have experienced. The only heat issue I have is exhaust heat coming out of the engine compartment vent on the left side. It's only noticeable at slower speeds, and only objectionable at a stoplight on a hot day. It's...
