• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Good movie

Not a documentary, but a very good, thought provoking drama with great roads and scenery.

Trading my 2010RT for a RSS

    - I have verified with BRP techs that you can install the ST heated grip kit, you just need to cut a hole in the binnacle somewhere to mount the switch, as there is no switch panel blanks on the RS-S. That's the only issue. - '13-'14 RS-Ss have cruise control, which I love. - With the...

    Another 2014 Triple Impression

I don't know about that. I've seen a bunch of GS and RS based homebrew touring machines that the owners seem quite happy with...although for years that was the only option. With the introduction of the ST, I am guessing there will be fewer folks doing that to the newer RSs

    Another 2014 Triple Impression

An additional problem with taller windscreens on RSs and GSs is that on a stock bike, the forward lean works to partially buoy your torso against the windstream. Once you loose the pressure of the air pushing back against your chest, then the low bars force your wrists to support all the weight...

    Another 2014 Triple Impression

Cutting down a windshield is not all that tough. A jigsaw with a superfine blade will cut it without cracking it. Just take your time and run it at low speed. http://www.motorcyclejustice.com/equipment/Repairs%20and%20Adjustments/windshield.html

Not to mention the fun I've had in the past year...which I WOULDN'T have had if I'd been waiting around for the 2014s!

SPYDERFEST 2014 -- THANK YOU FROM MOGANG!

Thanks to MoGang for all the little things, such as always having a friendly person waiting at the door of the vendor building willing to help push incoming spyders around. I was impressed with the amount of work the crew did for everybody all week long.

    Another 2014 Triple Impression

SZ-Spydie and I both test rode '14 RT-Limiteds with the BRP road show at Spyderfest. A few random impressions: - The triple really is remarkably smooth and torque-y right from idle. No more need to keep it over 4 grand. - On the other hand, it doesn't sound nearly as nice as the v-twin. In...

Women motorcycle riders switching to Spyders

My wife had a Yamaha V-Star 950 and a Kawasaki W650 previously. She never felt 100% comfortable on two wheels. Now we ride so much more ...and she's got me on a Spyder, too - something that would not have happened if she hadn't made the leap first.

    How Far to Your Dealer?

17 miles. We've purchased a Yamaha and two Spyders from them, and have all our service done there. They sponsor our local Syder riders club. Nice guys; never any real complaints. B+/A- overall.

    1st ride

Actually, yes. She'd test ridden one a week prior, when the BRP demo road show was in town. And I'd ridden hers on and off for a year before I bought mine...although I wasn't totally keen on it until Spyderfest '13, when two things happened: she got the BajaRon sway bar installed on her RT...and...

    1st ride

My wife traded in a V-Star 950 and said the exact same thing. By the time she arrived home from the dealer some 20 miles later she was convinced it was the best decision she ever made. And she's never looked back. Neither did I when I joined her on 3 wheels a year later.

Spyderfest '14 and My New Spyder!

My wife is going to demo a '14 RT while we're down at Spyderfest. ...I'm very worried. ;)

Spyderfest '14: Anybody else at the Baymont Inn?

We're staying at the Baymont Inn at Glenstone and US-60 for the second year. There were a few other Spyderfest'ers there last year, but not a lot. Anybody else staying there this year?
