• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Do's and Do Nots for passengers

100% agree with you! Other than occasional "can we catch up to that car, I think I know those girls", I sometimes forget my son is on the back.

Sway Bar Install Went Real Well

Ordered one yesterday and will be doing it the minute it gets above freezing in the garage. I also ordered the ATV jack and the stands from Harbor Freight, so hoping for an easy and quick install. Boxes just keep on piling up with all the goodies to be installed and my son is walking around the...

    jl audio speaker pods

I just saw a listing on eBay for these speakers for $679 and another one for speakers and AMP for over a $1000. I personally chose to go with a Shark system and with the help from a fellow SpyderLover have some good tips on how to best hook it up, which I plan on doing as soon as it gets a bit...

What tunes are on your playlist?

Before my last business trip, I asked my kid to update my iPod and ended up with few of Mackelmore's songs. All good. I also learned that my son has the wieredst taste in music; he could have hard core rock, hip hop, house and some weird sounding stuff all in one playlist. Falling asleep on an...

    Spyder Wraps

Maybe I am missing something, but how is AMR's a "better wrap"? Pete has different designs, including the entire Spyder wrap. Quality wise, it is hard to judge one vs. the other, unless somebody tried both. One thing for certain, Pete is a stand up guy and stands buy his product, including going...

    Custom Speaker Pods

Agree with BLUEKNIGHT911' post. The pods look nice, but not sure if they are worth $700 for just the pods and speakers. I have ordered 250W Shark system and a sub-woofer for the frunk. Now, just need to figure out the best way to install it. My idea was to actually mount the speakers exact same...

    Audiosystem for the RS Modells

I assure you, it sounds completely different when read in Russian. So besides the write up on the setup, the article also does a hell of a write up and marketing for BRP. There is palace in Brooklyn that does similar work, however they priced a similar set up at $1700.00, which is a bit too...

How cold was it last night????

It was 16F this morning in NJ at 5am and when I landed in Pittsburgh at 8:30am it was 13F. They are saying it will go down to 4F tonight here. I miss days when I would fly out of Newark in January with 20F and land in Singapore into 90F or Hong Kong 80F. Those were the days.....

    Phone navigation

I bought a RAM mount with clamps for my Android phone and use TeleNav GPS on the phone all the time. You cannot hear it, unless you have a headset connected, but visually you can see the directions and it is very accurate.

    Shipping a Spyder

Ken, although I never shipped my Spyder, when I sold my Shadow I used http://www.1aamotorcycles.com/. It went from NJ to Massachusetts and the rate and service were really good.

3 Wheel motorcycle ride through a blizzard

That would be them! Not sure why V changed to W in US, but definitely them. The problem was that back in late 70s and early 80s it only came with 350CC engine, so allot of young kids in Russia had to modify them quite a bit to get descent riding machines out of them. I believe now they make them...

3 Wheel motorcycle ride through a blizzard

Will never happen.... 1200cc on the URAL that is. I grew up in Russia and my grandfather and uncles had these. Great machines and have been put through a nightmare of Russian weather conditions and roads in general. These bikes were tough and they were built to last! However, I am not 100%...

    ROKU vs cable question..

Two different things: ROKU works great with things like Netflix or Youtube, but doesn't yet cover all streamline websites, although it does cover much more than regular internet enabled TV. If your TV is Internet enabled through a computer attached to the TV (I have that), then ROKU will be a...

    Type-O Helmet

Absoultely, :agree:. I was stupid enough to buy a helmet last month from BRP, without ever trying it on, but simply cannot keep it on for more than 10 minutes. I would strongly consider NancysToy's advise and try it on in advance of purchasing. BTW, if anyone is interested in a BRP helmet, size...

    Never Forget!

Interesting comment Yet so true... I used google for most of the day for work, been on Yahoo all day and had the TV on through morning, but yet I didn't hear anything about today being the 71st Aaniversary, until my 12 year old came home and said, why isn't anyone mentioning on TV that we were...
